RE: NCYT launch Verslab PCR26 May 2021 12:41
Furion : it's an average time for each test. The test run takes 80 minutes, but given that you need only one test run for 14 people, you divide the test run by the number of people. So roughly 6 min.
Imagine if you tried to do that with GDR's POC. Given it's a machine that takes 1 test per 20 min run, if you wanted to test 14 people, you'd need to wait until each single test is complete. That would take 14 * 20 min = 280 min.
But in any case, the workers don't have to wait until they obtain their test results. They could come to work with masks on, take the test, and once they're negative their employers could allow them to remove their masks.
Shabby : not so surprising, it's not the first time it happens. For NCYT, just like GDR, ODX or ABDX, the markets want only one thing : sales figures. No figures = no SP re-rate.
The silver lining is that the company shows it's active in reaching more markets, and crucially, diversifying from government customers. That's positive for longer term investors. (Same with GDR : the materialisation of the partnership with BC is a step in the right direction, but that's not nearly nough for a re-rate).
