Not surprised at the big drop as that's what happens here on any news. However on reading the actual RNS, that looks like a sensible strategy. Getting an extension to the P&A looks certain to be approved (why would it be refused when the aim is to get oil out the ground?). IMHO anyway, but who knows with anything involving the UK government? Anyway, concentrating on our own production, 100% owned, makes sense when Spirit are in a state of flux.I managed to buy another 12,000 shares today at just over 17p (took several attempts). Happy to get my average down. Let's see what happens a few months down the line. Given we were at between 10p and 16p before anything really got started, this SP level is clearly ridiculously low. Value will out, and this is not a GKP operating in a war zone.

That article is mostly drivel - HUR is profitable and producing, and it isn't weighed down by debt like most of the other firms mentioned. That looks like an article designed to suppress the SP to let someone close their shorts.

It's almost as if BMO are trying to depress the HUR SP for some reason. Hmm, why would they want to do that? 80p to 30p is a huge revision and there's no real justification for it. As usual, follow the money. Would not surprise me in the slightest if this is part of an attempt to get HUR lined up to help someone attempt a low ball offer. Which should be rejected out of hand of course.

Nonsense. Dilution is by 0.02%, not 20%. A tiny amount.

EV: Albi is a different poster - similar name has caused confusion before, but that is not me. I bought a few more yesterday, my judgement being that the SP will go up from here even if it goes a wee bit lower first, which it could. My own personal opinion (not offering any advice here) is that in the medium term the earnings will overcome the current malaise, and in time (might be a few years) the Warwick situation will become clearer - these wells were not dusters even if the didn't flow unassisted at massive rates. Feel free to disagree, but that was my decision.

Pretty much my thoughts, Ron. There are some who describe the Warwick results as dusters, but that is nonsense. 1300 bopd is maybe not what everyone hoped for, but it's natural flow and could be constrained by a lot of factors. The important fact is that there is oil there.

This share is being played in the interim until the next news is imminent.

That's a bit disingenuous. The correct answer is that your daughter doesn't pay tuition fees at uni in Scotland. Regarding your remark that you pay highe vtax, that is actually not true. Higher income tax maybe, but only if you are a high earner, and for that you get free prescriptions, uni, hospital parking, personal care, shall I go on? Overall you are probably better off here.

Sturgeon is an extremely good politician and comes across as a decent human being - unlike the types that I suspect you probably vote for. She is standing up for Scotland because we voted by a huge margin to remain in the EU. Unionists fear her and that is why the unionist controlled media (about 99% of the mainstream media is yoon-owned) attempt to demonise her. She has certainly wiped the floor with every unionist politician she has come up against in this election campaign - particularly Richard Tice, who she absolutely cut off at the knees. No wonder that prize arse Boris Johnson is terrified of being in the same studio as her - and to be fair, he is scared of any penetrating interviews. The one thing I will say in favour of him is that I once read a book he wrote, about car, and it was a decent read, but as a PM he is a fecking disaster. Fortunately he won't be involved in the governance of Scotland for much longer; it's just a matter of how much damage he manages to do before we are rid of him and his successors.

Scotland does not receive subsidies. Scotland sends all taxes it raises to London and gets about half of the tax amount returned as a block grant. London borrows money and assigns the debt to Scotland, spends money on things we don't want or need and adds the cost to a notional "deficit" - which strangely has allegedly soared since 2014 - I wonder what could have happened then to make them change their fictional figures? What you should be looking at is the GDP figure quoted in a previous post, £216 billion, and comparing that with the block grant of about £30 billion. The £216 billion figure was accidentally revealed a few months ago and it was noted that it doesn't really tally with a country which is supposed to run on a budget of £30 billion. It's almost as if the UK government was trying to make Scots think they couldn't afford independence - much like was said about Singapore, Malta, India and every other former colony of the UK, up to and including the USA. But hey, we Scots? We're just genetically incapable of, well, anything really according to the propaganda we get targeted at us.

Won't have any effect on the GE. The SNP will win the election in Scotland by a mile, probably between 43 and 50 seats out of the 59. We are all well aware of the lying and shenanigans of successive Westminster governments - nowadays information is spread online and it's not as easy to keep things completely hidden.

Just confirms my view that there is corruption involved here - who has received a backhander or a golden hello to move into a cushy executive position? HUR would (as now) belong to its shareholders. It would be operating in Scottish waters (and international law is clear on that point, before anyone tries to claim otherwise) and so matters of taxation etc. would be for the Scottish government to decide - in essence existing contractual arrangements would continue, but any monies paid would no longer flow to Westminster. HUR could perhaps if it chose to do so be listed on the Scottish stock exchange (which IIRC is in the process of being revived). I doubt it would affect HUR's SP significantly either way. Scotland wouldn't nationalise HUR. Labour wouldn't have any say in the matter as they are as dead as a Dodo in Scotland and unlikely to recover to any great extent.

Unless the AM is more than half full, why would there need to be a tanker offtaking? I can see the point of being able to say they have started moving oil to market, but surely they wouldn't actually offload to a shuttle tanker unless they had sufficient oil in AM's tanks? And it would appear that that would be something like a half full AM. I assume they wouldn't want to waste the cost of sending away a half full shuttle.

I don't think that is the case any more, Chablard. No idea whereabouts you stay but in my area, (south) that is just not the case. Bit of banter, usually sports related, but that's about the limit of it. As for "civil war", I can't really see that happening, although the way England is heading towards something not a million miles from fascism you maybe couldn't rule out them trying something stupid to prevent indy as they don't want to lose control of our resources. Unlikely though IMHO.

JK, we in Scotland welcome people from any part of the world. Immigration vastly improves our nation and is needed for economic reasons in Scotland. If you want to come and live here, you will be made welcome. We still like to see England gubbed at any sport as they are our oldest sporting rivals (maybe the Romans are older...), but the notion put about by some unionists that we "hate the English" is frankly utter nonsense. There are numerous groups within the indy movement such as D&G English Scots for indy" and at the indy marches that occur frequently now you will see flags from around the world, including many English, Welsh, Irish, Catalan, German, French, you name it. I'll pop over the fence and smuggle you in once HUR is up and running properly...
