faramog - that 12.6% is a relatively low return given the risk that was undertaken back then but the good news is that the risks have all been removed and BMN is on the way to becoming a major global energy player. At some point this will be more accurately reflected in the share price, probably once the Market Makers have been able to load up on shares.

If you want to understand where BMN can go then you only need to look at similar AIM listed hydrogen power plays ITM power (ITM) and Ceres Power (CWR):

Gambit - I know that many turbines have their own battery supplies, nominally for backup so that the instrumentation on the turbine itself can always be powered even in the event that the mains is disconnected. They might also use part of this to smooth the output as you intimate.

The lowest rebar strength I've seen quoted is what the US calls grade 60 (60 kpsi breaking strength) which is equivalent to chinese grade 3 (420 MPa) rebar - https://roskill.com/news/vanadium-new-chinese-rebar-standards-positive-ferrovanadium-demand/#:~:text=China's%20new%20high%2Dstrength%20rebar,and%20Grade%205%20(600MPa).

The new chinese regs require 0.03% Vanadium for grade 3 so in 900 tonnes that would be 0.27 Tonnes of Vanadium

Higher strength rebar such as US grade 97 (chinese grade 5 (600 MPa) would require something like 0.1% V. The higher strength allows only about 60% as much rebar to be used ( https://www.windpowerengineering.com/wind-news-how-high-strength-rebar-lowers-wind-foundation-costs/ ) - so perhaps on 540 Tonnes of it would then be needed - this would contain 0.54 Tonnes of Vanadium.

Well it stands to reason that TR1 is still necessary, and as usual, this only happens at the end of the process, or else you'd have a massively changed shareholding appearing on the share register without a TR1. I think that first clause may have simply been a misunderstanding.

Pondering - the assumption that GS are selling all the way down is just that. I have received information from numerous informed resources that suggest that they are not and are just transferring their shareholding to another holding company.

it's a bent market, plain and simple.

So you pays your money and you takes your choice. You either hold onto your shares or you sell them for less than they are worth. If you are smart and solvent you should buy more shares when things are being distorted like this. I certainly have.

As an aside, those who might think about crowing how the UK is going to do the same before then should take a step back and think about the carbon cost of everything we buy that is made in China - no know all that cheap tat you get on Amazon etc. Under the current methods of measuring CO2 output none of this, or the fuel used in getting it here, is counted towards the UK contribution. China, being the new workshop of the world, has all of the CO2 used in manufacturing goods for export counted towards its CO2 contribution - so their commitment to going carbon neutral is indeed a huge, and vital, one.
