how else do you think the Chinese are able to commit to going carbon neutral by 2060.
As an aside, those who might think about crowing how the UK is going to do the same before then should take a step back and think about the carbon cost of everything we buy that is made in China - no know all that cheap tat you get on Amazon etc. Under the current methods of measuring CO2 output none of this, or the fuel used in getting it here, is counted towards the UK contribution. China, being the new workshop of the world, has all of the CO2 used in manufacturing goods for export counted towards its CO2 contribution - so their commitment to going carbon neutral is indeed a huge, and vital, one.
