VRFB's become cheaper the more they are used, whilst Lithium-ion, which degrades on each cycle, simply dies sooner.

It is clear that VRFB's are the optimal battery technology for smoothing tidal energy. The UK has a great deal of potential tidal energy. It is very good for Invinity to get stuck into this market early on.

Homer that is not correct - it is not institutional investors that control the price, it is the market makers, who have deemed that because there is so much interest in BMN that this is a great opportunity for them to milk value from the market.

As this video demonstrates such irrational behaviour of the market can last only so long.

It is precisely this heavy lifting that VRFB's are ideal for because Lithium-ion, the poor darling, isn't up to the job.

Bushveld have got the right idea - if you use a VRFB you can charge and discharge twice a day, once from the grid and once from the PV system - this allows you to take advantage of cheap electricity during the day (PV) AND during the night (from the grid)
