YTSS - NickD has got it right - they're not getting anywhere by dropping the price, only making the situation worse for themselves, and possibly risking that Atlas will turn around and say, 'no we're not cashing in our warrants just to help you out of your hole'.
Raising the price a little bit is also unlikely to help them because they want to pay lower prices than what they sold the shares for.
If there is strong buying tomorrow then at some point they are going to have to double back on themselves and put the price up a LOT - this way if they can sell a couple of million at say 23-24 p then they have perhaps bought themselves the chance of walking it back down to the 22p level to try and get the 5M or so they will then need. Perhaps then Atlas will ride to their rescue.
Or perhaps not, and the sudden increase in SP will attract in even more new money which instead of leaving at the end of the day sticks around for when the news from the company turns good. If this is the case then the MMs are not going to be able to walk the price down in the afternoon in the confident knowledge that they have day traders who will sell back to them, taking only a few percent of profit.
