Ohh dimmented I think he does have to follow the rules if he is a member of ACCA - specifically the binding code of ethics:-

Agree with all the comments so far - I am abroad on business at present so haven't been able to give my usual attention to the ebbs and flows of the markets, but should have an analysis up later on this evening.

Nice to see what looks like the warrants being consumed and the Market makers facing up to their situation.

Knuttie - with an external short if they are trapped in a squeeze they can usually buy the shares back from the market makers, losing money but effectively transferring the short to them, the MMs, which they (the MMs) are usually happy to take on as they are in control of the Share Price and can simply walk it down until enough people fall for the ruse and sell up.

On this occasion the Market Makers don't have anyone to go to (except perhaps the warrant holders) to get shares from so at the moment the power lies in the hands of the PI's - at what SP point will enough of them decide that they are prepared to sell shares back to the Market Makers ? I suspect not until 30p is breached. This is not the usual situation and I believe is the same as experienced when the SP appreciated from 8p to 22p after the Erongo selldown - this is a rerate phase.

Total a minimum 4.5M more Buys than Sells since the 5th Sept but I expect this to increase as more hidden buys on the 14th are revealed.

Why the sudden increases in the last two days ? - you might have assumed that the huge increase (>20%) on Thursday the 13th, following the news of the Sojitz buyout arose as the result of extremely strong buying pressure. However the volume on the 13th (7.15M) was actually lower than on the previously day (7.78M) , and the excess of Buys (+0.43M) was also less than on the previous day (+1.87M) when the SP actually fell.

How can we understand this ? It seems that on the 12th the Market Makers were happy to continue selling more shares than they were buying, without putting the share price up - presumably expecting to be able to close this implicit short later on at lower prices.

The news on the 13th suddenly changed all this - in one fell swoop they realised that they could not continue with this game - that the chance of them ever being able to get to buy the shares back at less than 23p was now essentially zero - they instead needed to double up - increasing the share price to raise their average selling price to the high enough level that they can ultimately close out their short with a little walk down.

Whilst people continue buying they will have to continue increasing the share price as it has effectively been lost control of by the market makers. Now is the time to continue buying and avoid selling at all costs.

Pinarello - yes the shares in each jurisdiction will be equivalent - if the price goes up in one market but not in the other in principle you might buy them in the second market and sell them in the first one but I'm guessing that would require you to have a platform that can access both markets so I suspect that won't happen much - so in principle the prices in each market could diverge. Maybe someone else more experienced on these matters can explain the arbitrage mechanisms that would come into play which would effectively couple the two markets together.

Could the JSE listing be looked on more favourably - you bet as it will allow SA investors, businesspeople and politicians to literally buy into the Bushveld Story.

Endion - you make a good point. With Bushveld developing an integrated Vanadium mining and electrolyte production/VRFB assembly business with fantastic in-country beneficiation you could take the point of view that the investment in Bushveld is actually the very best thing that you could do.

Teach a man to fish etc, Teach a man to build his own fishing rod factory more like.

Sure with 10M you could fund a few orphanages or medical programmes that would make you feel good about yourself but this should not be about one's ego. No if you really want to push out the corruption that comes from hand-outs and the general we're-a-charity-case mentality then you need to find ways to help people stand on their own two feet. That's a great deal better for their egos too.

Not at all YTSS - I built my BMN stake up so high precisely because it is a brilliant hedge when sterling reaching equity against the euro, or when bitcoin crashes or all the other currencies implode - our value is in primary mine sourced Vanadium which the world is always going to need whilst steel is made or renewable energy produced.

The drive towards higher grade steel will always drive higher vanadium usage and if there is steel oversupply and less steel being made generally then it will be the most expensive plants which will be closed first so less Vanadium supply from the Vanadium sl-a-g route. We win.

If Steel usage goes up, there's more Vanadium needed for that - we win.

It really is a coin with heads on both sides. People are never going to introduce legislation demanding weaker steel for their buildings.

If VRFB energy storage takes off like I think it will then we will win, but not just bigly but the most bigly the world has ever seen.

Well somtam we are somewhat of experts in Bushveld so where does that leave us ?

Forecasting something as complex as the economy is notoriously difficult but that does not mean that we do not need people paid to try and do their best in everyone's interests.

One of the last big reductions in house prices in the 90's arose as the result of something as small as changing the rules about mortgage relief. It is most certainly not inconceivable that doing something as drastic as changing all our our import/export relationships of goods, service and people with the rest of the world may have a similar or even worse effect.

You can choose to ignore this possibility and hope that everything is alright but I am most definitely not doing nothing about it, whatever it is, which of course is incredible given that it is six and a half months away and nobody knows what it is even meant to be yet.

The still have no idea that Vanadium can be used in Solid State Lithium-ion batteries.

Well said BBN - I agree that this is an incredibly unusual situation - where a company such as BMN arrives at the sweet spot in a market and where everything comes together. It is also unusual in that PI's have collaboratively developed a profound understanding of this business and the sector in which it operates, and I for one am very proud to be a part of this.

Someone mentioned earlier one that this should be written up as a book. It is not such a crazy idea. Sharing our multiple perspectives on the last 4 years, and perhaps the decade to come. I am happy to work with anyone who wishes to contribute to such a narrative project.

Before anyone pipes up about enterprise value etc let's worry about getting anywhere near a fair PE for the company before we start worrying about the subtle difference between MCap and Enterprise Value
