RE: Mines and Money21 Oct 2018 13:20
AM - I'm not sure if I will be able to go this time - it is definitely worth having a look in. Last time we got to see RF give the keynote presentation and this usefully coincided with the announcement that Yellow Dragon was being bought out (if I recall correctly).
This time it would be nice to know why one of the Tuesday sessions is entitled 'Battery Metal' but another is entitled 'Vanadium Casino Minerals' - bit rude eh.
Tuesday looks like a good day to go on - one of the keynotes in the Africa Session is "Keynote Debate: Is everything a battery metal now? First it was lithium, followed by cobalt and graphite. Then it was copper and nickel. Now gold, silver and zinc are getting in on the we’re a battery metal act. If investors truly want to play the EV investment thesis, which commodities offer the greatest upside?"
If anything deserves to be called a battery metal I think that it is Vanadium, however it seems that some in the industry think that batteries only exist if they have four tyres and a steering wheel. hmmm.... annoying.
Gambit managed to get a free investor's pass for both of us last year - you'll have to do something along the same lines if you want to be able to get in - so good luck.
