coffeecups - the dividing line between 'solid-state' and 'lithium-ion' is not a hard one - they are terms describing completely different aspects of the same device - eg saying that coffee flavour and mouse are different types of dessert - what about Tiramisu ?

The splitting up and fumbling around with shares entering the market like this would, if read naively would overstate the PI (well FI to be honest) Sells by a big factor (2-3). This would naively indicate a short position that has been closed and indeed turned into a long position - i.e. no point in holding out for a short squeeze any longer. As we can see this is not the case.

By the way I am not sure that Vanadium has good resistance to corrosion by sulphuric acid - after all the VRFB relies upon the dissolving of Vanadium metal into a sulphuric acid for it to work. And personally I would have like Vanadium to be even more dissolvable into sulphuric acid than it currently is, because then you'd get greater energy density from a VRFB electrolyte. But that is nature for you - it is what it is and we have to make the best use of it.

Daisan - 800MWh is according to the company around 4,000 tonnes of Vanadium. 200MWh may be for just a single one of the production cells that is shown in the EIA report - I recall that there was space for either 4 or 5 of these production cells. The EIA didn't really make it clear precisely what the numbers were referring to. In short I suspect that the scalability is the key thing that they have been thinking about for the last couple of years and will no doubt be unveiled in the fullness of time.

Of course this "Cellcube" which they claim to have put 15 years of research into is just the rump of the bust gildemeister that was flogged off to Stina resources at the end of last year. I'm not sure how many people actually went from Austria to the US/Canada but to claim that it is the same 'they' stretches ones incredulity more than a tad.
