Would anyone like to give me any further information about the 3x 950K trades, the duplicate 150K pair at 16:17:21, the other 2x 150K (not duplicates) 25 seconds later, the 1x 1.2Million Sell, the 1x 650K Sell, the two Bed and ISA's, the one Bed and Breakfast and the worked trade of 2.383 Million ?

No ? anyone ? Oh well I guess I'll just have to work it out myself.

Knuttie - they conform to the out-of-range trades that I described about a week ago - waay outside the normal trading band and multiples of 100. If this was Nasdaq I might suspect high frequency trading outfits, but find the idea hard to justify in this situation.

I do not think that it can be a buy - there is zero upward impact in the SP either at the point of reporting or for the two days beforehand

Thus it seems to be a large worked sell being, presumably, finished off. ADVFN shows no duplicate, unlike the 950K earlier on

I don't know how they get away with such attempted market manipulation.

UncleJohn - I do not think that Fortune wants to keep the SP as low as possible or even wishes to see an 'orderly rise' somehow choreographed by a series of Broker notes that merely mirror the SP behaviour x 1.25 albeit with a series of regularly changing assumptions that bear no relation to reality, or even what the Broker says in interviews.

With respect to my observations of Fortune's motivation in the matter at hand I am not at liberty to say how I have come to this conclusion but those who have been here any period of time will know that if anyone is in a position to say this on the basis of informed reasoning then I am.

The man himself can not, of course, make any public pronouncements on the matter.

Interesting that it is not a multiple of 250K this time. As I have only counted 250K sells as being from First Island so far this might mean that they are actually a lot further on with their selling than I had previously suspected.

Fyoz - that of course is state nationalisation which in my opinion is more likely to happen here if we crash out of Europe and Labour gets in, than in South Africa which has emerged from a long period of Zuma-run stagnation and is at last starting to get the wheels of industry and investment moving again.

If we do crash out of Europe then the pound will be at parity with the Euro and I'd much rather have my money in Vanadium anyway.

There is only one thing holding us back at the moment and that is the First Island overhang which the Market Makers are shorting against. They set the prices, they choose when to drop shares into the market from their magic bag and so if buyers don't turn up in huge volumes they get away with their manipulation - simple as that.

Stop trying to credit the market with intelligence it doesn't have.
