Rob - fair question - perhaps there are more trades to be revealed or perhaps the market maker that holds the short position, has the tame seller, and has perhaps been the only one that has been trying to keep the SP down, has lost out to others who instead have buyers and who are prepared to up their offers for shares.

dryland - yes I see the same situation on RED and ATM after about 2:10pm - very curious - I'd be surprised if the trade flag on lse.co.uk was somehow determined by comparing the trade time with the actual reported time (so that a technical glitch in the feed could cause everything to be classified as a delayed report) - still it is all rather curious.

dryland - if you let me know which shares then I can check the trade flags on those trades also

I am currently working on this - however you may be interested to know an immediate conclusion:-

Every single trade after 14:08 was officially a delayed publication - the trade blackout was not some technical glitch this was deliberate by market makers to obscure what was going on at the time.

Draw your own conclusions.

SotRR - I am in the process of dealing with this - nobody here needs to worry or get involved, which potentially could be counterproductive.

There will be no ongoing updates or reports on how any investigation is going, until perhaps one day, some people get a knock at the door they've always lied awake at night dreading....

No it is someone who was simply using the auction to try and get a low share price to show for a few minutes.

The 350K trade 6 seconds later was a duplicate pair trade so we can see the triplet structure appearing again - first trade higher followed soon after by a pair of IMM hops. This changes nothing on the nett trade analysis - it was a single 350K Buy before and is a single 350K Buy after, but now with two ignored inter-MM movements.

The general point is that AIM currently serves only to line the pockets of the stock exchange and those that operate the Market - the Market Makers, or the nomads who provide services to the companies listed on the exchange.

The Market Makers appear to exist in a perpetual state of short exposure - trying to drive share prices down so that they can buy shares they have previously sold at higher prices - there are not the dips and peaks you see in the main market - almost all AIM shares show the same exponentially decreasing share price behaviour, punctuated by occasional rerates when short term speculation, triggered by news, temporarily swamps the games that Market Makers can play.

As a mechanism for providing capital to innovative early stage businesses AIM is clearly currently not fit for purpose.

am I right in thinking that there was an RNS last week describing a placing of 500 M shares at 0.02pence to raise 100,000 pounds ?

If so then 1) why is this not listed on the RNS tab as it is surely material as it dilutes previous shareholders by 40% and 2) how can the company really pretend that it can continue trading on such a small sum - surely there comes a point when directors have a legal responsibility to warn shareholders that the company may have to be delisted.

Nick - remember that there are multiple MM's so one might have got themselves some shares but that doesn't mean the others have yet.
