E10201 - the difference between the price spike this year and that in previous years is that in previous years it came on the back of significant reserve stocks of Vanadium (diagram 2 here:- https://www.thebushveldperspective.com/blog/public-articles-1/post/vanitec-2nd-energy-storage-meeting-part-1-206 ) now the stocks of Vanadium have all been exhausted, China is no longer a nett export, but an importer, Evraz Highveld Steel and Vanadium has closed down taking 14,000 Tonnes of supply out of global V supply.

This is why the most recent price spike occurred on the back of an 18-month rerate in the overall Vanadium price to a new base level of $60-70/KgV

Yep the Bid is moving up, so much so that Sells are now being coloured blue as if they were Buys. No problem we have the correct Buy-Sell worked out elsewhere.

GoSushi - the Vanadium market is in structural deficit we are unconcerned about short temp trading derived fluctuations in the price. BMN makes profit at $30, $40, $50, $60, $70 a KgV but volatility wrecks the plans of those who come after us.

BMNfan - as the first and only person to raise the possibility of a Black start test as an aside (it is called black start not black out) I can state confidently that it is not part of the official Eskom commissioning so kinfly please forget about it and do not try and make out that it is in any way a critical milestone.

Sounds very interesting - especially the ability to run over the rated power specifications for long periods of time.

Uksteveg - I have seen that mistake elsewhere recently which is why I was asking if there was a reference to the definitive broker note. I have contacted proactive investors and they have now corrected the mistake.

UKsteveg - I would be disappointed if a broker didn't know that 1.4 Billion Megawatt Hours is obviously complete nonsense
