Probably something in that Yanis - Alba maybe a touch short of being able to drive the SP with current independent projects, but I am hopeful that is close to changing, even on Twitter they have many more followers than a few months back and some projects are hopefully closer to firmer news.

I believe GF saying we are funded and assume this includes Brockham but I am just saying it is a fluid changing situation so it is not impossible a near term fund raise will occur and they will certainly need one by spring.

With Alba there is always the shadow of a fund raise, which regardless of long term benefits or necessity of it, always seems to cause a short term drop off.

Also we dropped to the 0.2s not so long ago so high profits for some in the 0.5s especially with the SP treading water then dropping back, many probably just crashed in - I was tempted to sell other shares and double up here when at the 0.2 lows with the thought I could sell half at around 0.5-0.6 and more or less enjoy the ride afterwards for nothing, but could not let go of other shares that are also due near term news - may be not the case for others.

There is also the pump and dump side of things - Alba are so small and out of nowhere we had lots of names here that I had not really noticed over the year previously - 100 posts a day from sometimes barely double figures, and most of them are conspicuous by their absence now.

As dsfat mentions the Greenland update had some good info but also lots of questions. If a high value maiden JORC can be drawn from this summer's work and they can shed light on dealing with the permafrost (e.g. layered removal and yearly updates/upgrades of the resource as the permafrost is exposed and thawed) then maybe we can expect some significant upward movement.

I was unaware Brockham needed much funding - thought the sidetrack etc was in place but I am probably a bit ignorant re the amount and cost of equipment required there. Will await dsfat's info on that and why it is more than the 5% share we have.

He writes quite chunky posts - not sure paid posts could stack up even if you wanted put that forward as purely theoretical.

What is the going rate per post? How do you get the gig?

Haha yeah you are right - read the packet wrong.

I did read somewhere you can now get instant mines, you just pop them on the ground (in the position you want the mine) and just add water - 2 hours later you have a mine.

They are great - no digging, drilling, no geological appraisal, no geochemistry, no lab assesment, no planning process or ecological studies. Easy.

Gunny - It is probably more tricky than that, unless you are just a private enthusiast - gold can turn up almost anywhere in samples at very low levels - I am also going to say that one Tweeted image does not sum up all their work and that these guys https://www.srk.co.uk/en probably know more than you or me, in terms of advising how this process would work best to identify new gold targets

Remember they are looking for the best targets across multiple samples, not any where a little bit of gold turns up.............. think they mentioned hundreds of potential areas of interest in a previous RNS.

All gold miners i have ever invested in have used soil samples, geochemistry etc to make commercial decisions.

Private - RE HH, then UKOG tend to be the driving force there being the biggest shareholder - but if news of significance is published Alba will put that out there own RNS.

They have been covering all their interests in Twitter fairly regularly.

I don't understand your "The only thing they seem to do is take samples and then sit on them for months" comment - this is how you prove up and develop a license as an exploration company - it takes ages, each set of samples are tested at labs, the results of which then help form further exploration until you reach a point of being able to mine, JV, sell off or walk away. And that is before we get to planning issues.

Only so much info you can put out on twitter, which not everyone uses - perhaps they could do more web updates or blogs etc, but I still stand by my post - loads of moans and groans if not enough updates and loads of moans and groans unless every RNS has game changing info - no way they can win - i think it this is a perfectly acceptable update.

Yeah it is just to keep us up to date - won't do much for the SP. SRK know what they are doing, no one else has done work like this on the area, they are refining targets and prepping for planning.

You can't have your cake and eat it - of they only release big news by RNS they would be accused of staying quiet for too long and not keeping us informed.

Anyone had any joy with emails etc? I still watch on here thinking there will be a good time to invest again but I never see any effort to court investor sentiment - no interviews, no social media presence, little response to contact and no broker/press coverage - yet so much to like on a fundamental basis.....

Would love to add more but spreading my risk over last few months but still think this has a great mix of assets and hopeful of near term significant news.

Sure I see that - nothing confirmed and you never know - watching Surrey cc deal with planning for oil exploration was quite an education in how difficult and random things can be in the UK.

However I like how things are going in California that with a little more good news pretty much de-risks the current sp as a buying point with many other darts to throw - the diversified portfolio lessens my worry about Wick and Colter if they get a bit bumpy.

Reabold remind me of a mini diversified gas and oil.

I am not convinced saying "what if their is an oil spill" is enough to block this kind of thing - pretty much anywhere in the UK would be only a few miles from a significant coastal tourist area so no near shore oil would be possible - or any new power stations for that matter. For example there will be loads of shipping near by posing similar if not higher risks of fuel, oil and cargo spills.

Have to admit I have lost track here a little - to save me going back through RNS output what are we expecting in terms of newsflow in the next month or so? EG results soon?

Good post Simon - I do not think Audiens potential has been factored into SP at all and looks primed to deliver, while I suspect many companies are having to look at their data gathering and use (and how effective it is) after this years gdpr laws.

I first invested in 2017 after reading about Mariposa but can't remember what it was I read or by who ( early 2017 and wasn't an RNS, Amerisur website, Malcy, investors chronicle or iii).

Annoying as I usually keep everything to re-read or bookmark online info.

Probably a load of hype from a nobody but caught my at the time. Hope it it delivers over time.
