Roundtable Discussion; The Future of Mineral Sands. Watch the video here.
Apologies for the over-reaction.
But can you not see that no-one has made much headway because of Covid. Not even LN.
I don't think live gigs are ever going to be the same again. Just IMO.
However buying Napster (and effectively taking on Spotify ) was a good move. Again IMO.
Why don't we just be a bit more patient and wait for the new app? It has to be run by everyone, including probably the CMA.
I think a lot of good will come out of it.
So then, that leaves 69% held by the institutions.
Then there are the partners - Sony, Warner, Universal, N &G et al.
They don't matter ?!?
Little Jimmy Offler is here. So now the Board can gauge opinions.
That's why he posts !
Oh yes, of course.
The same Universe.com who sell tickets including the MelodyVR gigs at the end of last year. And have never streamed anything in their lives.
He only writes this drivel Italian, because that's what he WANTS to think.
As for Offler the Master of Disinfo, whatever he says, believe the opposite.
Hi Italian/DeadC.
For the record I also topped yesterday. I don't think we were the only ones. In fact, as soon as the 1p ask appeared there was a flurry of large buys and it was gone within a minute.
Oh dear Offler. Haha.
None of this rubbish can be found.
You can't even peddle fiction either !
Another competitor? No, I don't think so.
FYI, Liveherenow just make a film and sell the resulting CDs.
You just come on here to peddle disinfo.
Hi Rob and Italian.
I've just been reading the musically.com version of this.
An enquiry was almost inevitable and as Spotify have about two-thirds of the market, it is mainly about them.
If they get the new app right- which they will- this will play into Napster's hands. IMO.
Two large 6-digit buys on Friday, plus a third at 1.125p which was most probably a buy - all ending '922.'
And the last two both had a value ending £-762.
Either a pretty big co-incidence - or the numbers are saying something.
Better than Enigma !
Mel
Djp57 and Italian are correct.
To clarify, N & G hold 364 million shares, or 12.3%
We calculated in August their average is 1.48p. So 1.49p would see them into profit. Although I somehow think they will hold out for a bit more than that. LOL.
It may be they have already bought another tranche. There was a ten day gap in August before it was RNSed - 6th to 16th.
Can't be bothered to put it in again.
Just Google or Bing it. You'll see what I mean.
16 November 2016
Ticketmaster will now be selling live tickets through Spotify
liveforlivelivemusic.com/news/ticketmaster-will-now-selling-tickets-spotify
Just seen the totally irrelevant link from 2016, Offler.
You really do get in a muddle.
So their shares are traded on NYSE but they have plans to take on America as their next target market ?!?
That needs a bit of explanation. Have they found 300m living in the UK? This island would be sinking !
And what is this partnership with Ticketmaster bearing in mind they haven't done any VR and have no tickets to sell, - A link?
As I said, it's just a thought.
It's odds-on they won't merge with Spot. But it's also odds-on they WILL eventually merge with someone - unless they seek a NASDAQ listing in their own right.
This is based on what AM has recently said re both scenarios.
Hi italian.
The arrival of the social media lady suggests things are moving on. AM said in the RNS that "We expect the app to be available for preview by our partners next month." (now this month).
TBH if we have to wait until Q1 2022 then so be it. It would be worse than pointless releasing it in indecent haste without removing any glitches - not that Melody have ever done that anyway. And live gigs are only stuttering back to normal, so we're not missing much anyway.
We've come this far. We need to be (just a little) more patient.
Good morning Mel.
TBH, I think it's how AM usually sounds. It's just him.
A bit strange that Spot would actually host the podcast, so there has to be a reason for it. IMO.
It's no secret that they have wanted to do live audio/visual. Their venture with VRtify a few years ago just seem to fizzle out and after Glasto Driift may go the same way.
I know we have talked about take outs before on here, but consider that NAPS will have a state-of-the-art app, and the VR know-how. Spot are the streamers by default, with 300m subscribers.........
Just a thought
You haven't missed much Italian. It's all stuff we know about.
However, most of the 300 million Spot subscribers won't know of Napster. This was AM saying 'hello' to them. IMO.
Horse
He was only replying to the questions he was asked.
And I still say that getting himself on Spot WAS a smart move.
Just click on the green arrow button Italian. You don't have to register.
There isn't going to be anything new on this.
That's what we have RNSs for.
And whilst we have heard all this before, those not familiar with Napster - which is who this is aimed at - won't have done.
So putting it on Spotify is a smart move. IMO.
