A stop loss would be fine if you can't monitor your position regularly and there were a genuine reason for a stock to fall such as a bad RNS.
The problem is that the market makers can easily manipulate the price. They drop the bid and offer, but won't let anyone buy a significant amount. In the meantime, as the bid goes down, stop losses are triggered so you have your stock pinched at a discount.
Once they have a few cheap shares, up goes the price again and then they let people buy.
I would avoid stop losses at all costs!
