One poster said this precludes us from getting a new licence if that is the case it is game over, however, that’s not been the precedent for Indonesia they tend to grant licences anyway sometimes conditional upon paying a fine over time (if they’re not allowed to operate the govt can’t reclaim the money). But this is why it’s priced to fail. We can also hope the US thing gets it all squared away quickly. But there’s the very real chance our license doesn’t come through in the timeline mentioned my the govt as it’s not a simple renewal. The risk is very real with this one no one should be thinking it’s a slam dunk

I understand your frustration badomen but he hasn’t confirmed when payment is/was actually received. It’s like if you have building work done and the terms say payment due on completion that will then typically have separate terms that say pay within 30 days or something but the builder would still say I get paid on completion. It’s like that with a lot of business payments. Again really doesn’t matter payments are being made that’s all that counts.

I very much want this feud to die but I have to point out he didn’t say anything that confirms payment is made immediately after loading. I’ve no idea when it comes through but when a business says “paid on event” it doesn’t literally mean paid right then. Just that it becomes due then.

They were in active dispute a long time before arbitration or the cash flow forecast. $15m isn’t suddenly on the line. It already was.

If they were being serious saying they’ve provisioned cash flow to do it then nothing has changed.

The final 5% was always going to be not 5% as they said after adjusting for grade and water content. It makes sense to be pessimistic up front then have a bigger second payment. They may have some pessimistic benchmark for the grade and water content that they don’t even really test at the dock they just say here’s 95% based on 5% Spod 20% water. Just an example. I don’t believe they need to notify us what the process is but it would be nice to know
