The £1.6 Billion enterprise value offer by Sky (Comcast) is a tad low considering that the M & E business of ITV generated £250 + Million in EBITA in 2024. If this offer was accepted by the CMA, Sky and ITV would control 70%+ of TV advertising revenue which is too monopolistic. There are too many ifs and buts in this deal so lets see

If this deal goes through Sky and ITV combined would control 70% of the TV advertising market in the UK. Sky is owned by ComCast (purchased about 8 years ago). The CMA look at anything more than 50% market share as possibly "monopolistic". What are your thoughts? I sold at 80p and I am happy with the profit I secured

80 p is a reasonable start. Hopefully, the negotiations between ComCast and ITV are successful and we realise £110. That would have been a very successful and profitable investment.

The Budget on the 26th is to blame for the SP dropping on better then expected results, as far as UK broadcast is concerned. Businesses are fed up with the uncertainty around the Budget. Companies are reluctant to spend money on advertising with tax base uncertainty! Lets see what happens to the SP on the 26th!

Liberty Global has only 5% of ITV shares so the Blocker against a takeover has been removed. Liberty Global might have done this at the behest of a Merchant Banking group so 3 - 6 months, look forward to a takeover approach.

You Gov at such cheap prices could be a takeover target by a US company. So I am buying some more to add to my position. The debt position is a bit troubling but with Free Cash Flow manageable

Interactive Investor platform. Not much buying interest in You Gov for some reason. Plenty of buyers for GlenCore (75%) and even Rolls Royce PLC (35%) but You Gov not in this list.

On the 7th the SP inched up to 85p and has since declined to circa 75p. The trading statement on the 7th was solid and a recent broker note pencilled in a SP of £1. However, because the markets eyes are not on Victoria Plumbing they will range between 60p and 90p for at least the next 2 years. I have successfully traded VIC thrice since Feb 25. If VIC falls to 60p again I shall buy again. But all this tariffs talk from Trump might accelerate a recession and then all bets are off!

Cash pile dwindling rapidly with no increase in turnover. Circa £4 million in dividends payable in December. I hazard a guess the £30 million in cash represents 50 - 60% of the share price. Any suggestions ?
