The Gap of sells to purchases has decreased considerably over the past 2 hours which would indicate a rise is due!

I personally think they are going to try and push 6p at around 16:00 and hopefully close above 6p! Ready for tomorrow's buyers! Another 120 million trades again up to now! Guessing it should finish at around 140/150 million trades!

So in other words they made a killing on Saturday - 9000 x 200 (average seat in a Cinema screen) x £7.00 (spend per head £3.00 ticket £4.00 snacks) x 6 screenings for the day!

@Fig it is mind boggling! It's a pity they cannot get compensation from the Canadian government for wiping millions of the value of the company due to such a silly ruling!

The Cineplex lawsuit seems very silly to me! How can a company that has a turnover of $1.2 billion be entitled to a payout from Cineworld close to $1 Billion! They pulled out due to the pandemic and that should be more than enough to throw this out! How can they be entitled to more than 50% of the sale value?

I actually think some have been offering 10 x Income!

Alot of smaller buys today. Did someone say that they had heard employee and family members of Cineworld would be buying today? Or was that a rumor?

Has anyone else heard rumors of a potential buyout from AMC?

Why I’m not selling
While most of the news about the company is negative, I don’t see much point in selling all my shares at the moment.

There are a few reasons for this. One is that there’s an attractive movie slate on the horizon, with films like Avatar 2 scheduled for release.

Also, there’s no telling what could happen in the coming weeks and months. While a takeover by a rival, like AMC Entertainment, is speculation at this moment in time, it’s not outside the realms of possibility.

I am personally confident on a restructure deal based on revenues returning in 2023. I can see a sale of assets maybe the Eastern European side and redundancies and other cost saving exercises! With a financial restructure and no dilution, I can see this getting back to £1 + in the next 6 - 12 months!

Honestly so much residence at 6p! I think the majority of the double ups have now gone and we should start moving towards 7p! GLA
