After last week's dramatic rise we had a fall back for a couple of days to the 330p level where there was resistance, after this week's rise we seem to have found a level of resistance at 360p level. The US sp has also settled at around the 360 level and that is with the £ weakening as a factor. If the market picks up in the next couple of days, we may see a rise to the next level, perhaps in the 390-400p range, if the market goes South then perhaps a little drift without any MCRO good news stories to reinforce resistance. Remain long for the foreseeable future, but a 5-10% drop from here might tempt me to top up again, although I will now be averaging up rather than down.

Would it be possible to open up a Clemoc thread rather than distracting this thread from its purpose.

Down a bit today, not surprising as there will be some profit takers and the market is generally down today, it is now moving onto the next set of uncertainties in our troubled world.

MCRO is weathering this unprecedented situation, the management have made some important and perhaps unpopular decisions, but they would appear very good decisions in hindsight e.g. paying down 400m of debt, stopping the dividend to conserve cash and flexibility and being bold in writing down 1bn and getting the bad news out the way. MCRO is one of the few companies for which the pandemic will turn out to be a huge opportunity and as said many times, this is all backed up by 40,000 customers in different countries with much of MCRO business associated with long term contracts for embedded software.

Credit Suisse looking a bit supid after dropping their target on 19th November to 305p. Don't think I'll be investing in their funds.

Up 9.5% in the US which should help a strong finish here or at least leaving most of today's gain in tact.

We have not yet reached last week's peak and since then we know that a significant element of the Shorters position has been closed, we should be sitting at 400 at least and now. However, a little profit taking make delay it and make the ride a little bumpy, but the overall trajectory should remain up for some time.

Hellyeah, we are already beyond the possibilities of a bid coming in under 500p, I usually recon 40% over the price prior to the bid so any bid now would have to exceed 500p, more likely 550-800p if the bid came in today. Next week maybe 650-800p and who know the week after or post the finals in February.

Totally agree with earlier post and have felt this all along - we'll be back over 500 before we know it, simply because that is where were amid the first Lockdown and after the £1bn right off RNS. We are now approaching the end of the second Lockdown but with a vaccine and possible promise of some normality around the corner. It is a harsh business environment which MCRO has weathered well, but the environment has changed post Covid, we are now in a society and business environment which is dependent even more heavily on software solutions going forward. MCRO is well positioned. This is the closest I have ever been to printing money, just turn on your computer and check the MCRO share price.........

Yee ha! Rolling Rolling! This rise should see off the rest of the shorts.

Helpful, positive post but unfortunately, until some of the ideas become real tangible projects with defined value, the market will base its position on Bell's back catalog of disasters, bar of course JMS.

I do think Bell has not been a straight with shareholders as he might have been.

I do thinik that there will be further dilution,

HOWEVER,

That will be matched (hopefully) by announcements on resources, licences, joint ventures and a stock exchange listing and possibly even news on royalties in 2021 - let's hope Bell's luck changes and he manages a to realise shareholder value before he runs out of Jupiter shares!

Unless you are a really big shareholder and you have got a couple of other large holders you are wasting your time.

HOWEVER, if you do have a reasonable percentage of the company, it does not need to be that great to topple the BoD or not elect directors, simply because the percentage that actually vote at AGM's is relatively small. My top tip to you would be to look at recent voting to establish what level of support you require to make things happen. Also bare in mind that Bell will run around gaining support if he thinks his sinecure is under threat.

I would also offer a word of caution in that this is a one donkey company and the donkey's name is Bell, if he goes, you have to wonder what the impact would be on the company's assets, deals and relationships. Bell's sidekick does not impress and I doubt the non execs do a great deal, although now that Australia is more in play, I may be wrong on one count.

Good luck with your project, I will watch with interest as it does no harm to keep Bell on his toes.

I honestly did not think we would see the 330p level again, given that I expected profit taking to be offset by shorters closing. I had expected a a fairly linear climb to Summer levels.

Added several lots at 330's today and may start trading them if the day traders really get a grip here. I have found with other shares that once they attract the day traders, they start oscillating up to two three times a day, sufficient to get in and out with small profits. I assume the premise they work on is that if the upside risk is greater than the downside, it will be difficult for them to loose over time but they might miss the big jumps if they are out at that point. However, I remain 90% long and now 10% trading.

Lonlon - poor post. The shorters are reliant on poor figures and or uncertainty. MCRO's actions and recent report provide clarification in terms of number and removes uncertainty in that they demonstrate that MCRO as a business is weathering the current Pandemic rather well compared to many companies and sectors. Yes, we will see fluctuations but at this level the shorters have little to push against. If I were short at the moment, I would be easing my way out of that position as indeed it was posted yesterday that one fund is already doing so.

Monty, thanks for the link. I'll be watching this page over the next week to see if further shorters close their positions. I read somewhere that they don't need to declare for 48 hours, so the next couple of days should make interesting reading unless they are hanging on for a dip, but I am not sure there will be an appreciable one. There is no reason now for the MCRO to return to level seen this Summer.

P.S. The current rise may be partly in anticipation of news tomorrow. If it is not tomorrow, it will be soon. I can only suggest watching the sp movement this afternoon and in the US might prove interesting.

I think the news will come on the 13th, surprise the market with good news on the Friday ahead of expected timescale and let the journalists feed in their stories in over the weekend to reinforce the good report and get the Bulls ready to stampede with twitchy fingers on the return key on Monday morning. The big question for me after all the goodies like cash flow and what has accumulated in the bank is whether MCRO is going to return to paying a modest dividend which will be the core of a good news recovery story over the weekend.

Up over 3% in the US bodes well for tomorrow and hopefully a continued climb.

I am not into Horoscopes but the mention of "Stargazing" prompted me to have a look - apparently I am due for a shedload of money dropping into my lap on the 13th! I suspect this prediction might be as accurate as any charting!

Finally caved in and increased my stake by 20% in the hope that this is the bottom and we get a good report and a dividend as well.
