Flockton - lots of people will be in from the placing at 4p on zero commission. They'll want to flip out at an instant profit through Market Makers - they'll undercut each other working sell orders. Each print goes through shows one MM that they've been undercut so they undercut and so on and so on. Fact is - these guys want a quick flip. Imagine where it will be in a few weeks if this volume stayed around

Cebo - you are right shorting has a place in the market. Markets are for people to make money. Lots of people shorting TLW because the CEO left, the debt pile is a mess, failed oil discoveries etc. It's not morally wrong for people to want to make money on the way down, the companies that are shorted are usually ones that have caused the mess in the first place.

A broker downgrade to 'sell' can do that.

This will go two ways

1) Sanderson et al know there's good news coming and have exercised warrants ready to sell day one without having to wait to exercise, wait for the RNS then sell when the price maybe has gone

2) Sanderson et all know there's bad news coming and want a full on dump of the sinking ship on day one rather than waiting for the warrant RNS to sell their shares, by the time they could have dropped further
