Same here, watched all fed meetings, and bloomberg too... clearly they're still policy tightening. They said higher for longer. I think lack of liquidity in the markets will hurt assets. Also Inflation in uk is going more than 5 times its target. Imho

We don't hear from fed till next year. Clearly people who had disposable income accumulated from covid lockdowns have been dipped into. Yet currys made a loss. Once people have less savings. Retailers will suffer. Powell highlight in his meetings of the past how much savings Americans had in their account...interest rates to go higher and for longer. They arnt even anticipating cuts in 2023. Imho

One of the guys I follow in America, went to high street electrical store on black Friday and saw boxes of tvs when in the past u saw empty shelf. He was confused why, so he concluded exactly what's happening with currys, these companies will end up with excess stock and will have to sell at lower price to reduce stock as stock in the shop was everywhere...oh boy, he was right in what he said with today's result here imho

Basically lack of demand, means excess stock. Sell cheap to get rid. Lowering profit margin. Imho bad news
