i basically agree Mike: i like them keeping the higher tariff whilst negotiations continue. it's like the opposite of what people were complaining about with WSG working for free.....you want to be in a position where the status quo benefits you more than the person you're negotiating with.....means that not only will MPS get the higher fees for a bit, it will also force the other parties to a conclusion more rapidly.

I appreciate that the size is impressive, but the industry judges these container ships by their max TEU. This puppy is 14,000, which is sizeable. I assume the old terminal couldn’t handle that. We should also be focusing on TEUs because all we care about is the number that loads and unloads at Tema. We don’t get paid per metre ;-)

Jim: are you legally trained? Ie are you a real lawyer? I ask because you imply (or is it conditional??) that you are.

I know very little law, but I know a lot of corporate lawyers. They all know the difference been your and you’re and that disinterested (unbiased) and uninterested (what you meant) are different.

If DHC cares so little about what other people believe, why do he incessantly post only the positive about WSG in a seemingly rampy attempt to get people to buy?

Went to a conference today just down the road from the AGM venue....brought back happy memories of Tema news and promise ...I’ve obviously got a good memory to be able to remember the start of this saga!!!

Mike: would love that to be true but i don't think that's how PF works. i wouldn't be surprised if he just asked Sandra to get any free of rights photo of a container port for the brochure.

caught up now: definitely rio. so my bet is that it's a stock photo. better than using Tema i guess as you don't want to imply that you are too tied to the one port (even though a brief look on here or at the accounts would tell you that we are!)

you make a perfectly valid point.....if you can't get these little things right it doesn't give a good impression. our best hope is that the people who read them are doing so in their second (or even third) language and don't notice.
