The latest Investing Matters Podcast episode featuring Jeremy Skillington, CEO of Poolbeg Pharma has just been released. Listen here.
yrabs: yes, that timing turned out to be pretty spot on....better to be lucky than good
yrabs: there was a weird thing last night where the price dropped on close and then jumped back up on open...so it's not up 31% at all. but it is up nonetheless.
yrabs: i can see what you mean about there not seeming to be a reason for the rise. but i'd argue that there wasn't much of a reason for the fall over the past 6 months. Many here would argue that reason was a lack of delivery and the impending capital raise....but that raise hasn't come. of course it will, this is AIM, but i don't think that will be before more material contract news. i don't think they need a keep-the-lights-on raise currently....and i've been right about that for over a year....only time will tell.
management are still claiming that they will be profitable this year, if they are (big IF) then this is still a steal.
i totally get the lack of belief by the long term holders (i've been here over a decade), but i can see the potential upside for some is huge, so maybe that's just why there's been a rise. people are odd, the more a stock price goes up, the more they want to buy it.
Westminster set to trial a mass screening solution at a major European International Airport
SEPTEMBER 7TH, 2022 AVIATION
Westminster, as a leading security screening provider to organisations worldwide, is working with a major European international airport to evaluate the suitability of Mass Screening Solutions, to screen pedestrian traffic entering the airport.
?The challenges airports and transportation hubs have is how to screen large numbers of people for mass casualty threats without creating delays or bottlenecks. Westminster’s mass screening solutions address that issue. The system being trialled is capable of screening up to 6,000 people per hour; it is fully automatic, triggering a response to the detection of a potential threat item and alerting security staff, in real time, so threats can be dealt with at an early stage.?

not a game changer, but good to see things happening in the background
How do you know they have £100k and over what period is the £5m admin costs? You’re fully aware of their cash flow situation post half year? That’s handy.
I never know which is worse on this bb the plainly ramping or the hideous trashing. Both combine to make it a next to worthless resource.
yrabs - so you have over 1m shares? i thought you just had a few left that were too worthless to sell? either that or you've found someone who can do a pool for less than £100k..if so please send them my way!
i still feel that this is an undervalued company, but nothing in the last 2 RNSs has warranted the rerate in price for me. A few more and we could be seeing a really material revenue source....but this need KSA and DRC to properly kick into gear.
This RNS, whilst very welcome, is not remotely enough to cause a move like yesterday.
yrabs: don't forget that the margin actually increased in H1.
No need to be sexist...but the sentiment is fair
Stop ramping Misty, this isn't worth over £250k and you know it.
It's an incremental positive, but not enough to move the share price...so any leak wouldn't have cause the recent rise IMO. Good to see the UK business growing
JL76 - "We are buyers of Westminster Group with a target of 7p"....this is how research analysts talk. they are not literally buying, they are saying that they have a buy recommendation. Plus Arden aren't research, they're a mouthpiece for the company.
All that said, PF seems confident in these forecasts and i'm happy to give him a chance (cue the jokes)....topped up a little this morning. ... glutton for punishment'?? or just trying to lower my average. either way i think this will rise and i don't agree with the market that a placing is imminent. but then according to this BB it's been imminent since this Q4 last year.
Yrabs: morning. I don't think that H&N is the only one left, he's just the only one who has bothered to post anything here recently.
a few minor points:
yes, the AGM was June and it's now August. that sounds like 3 months...but it was actually 5 weeks ago today, but i like what you did there.
1p doesn't matter, unless you're leveraged, desperately need to sell or the company raises. This BB has been clamoring for a raise since Q4 last year...there were many on here "100% certain" that it would be before the end of January. It hasn't come and i don't believe it will until a meaningful contract has been announced (and started)
Why would they formally say that they have covid loans sorted? that would get you lot going wild for the next raise as "cash is so low they need to borrow money"
Your last paragraph explains things, thanks. Pleased that you are enjoying the life of retirement. i'm looking forward to being able to write off my investments but still spend hours each day discussing them.....cheaper than therapy i guess.
have a nice summer.
Thank GT, I am still an optimist, and I am hanging in...don't worry. I just don't post here because there's no benefit.
sadly not yrabs, still here, still holding. no point posting any more so i just wait quietly
yrabs: how many shares do you have? just wondering what it would cost?
Welcome back 21...if i'm honest i didn't think you'd manage...but with only one slip you seemed absent for the whole month.....that said, so were most people.
all the best
The President of Burkina Faso has reportedly been detained by soldiers after a suspected coup. Not ideal....but who knows the impact??
21...naughty boy...it's not February yet. off you run
but somehow, yrabs, you manage to couch it in a way to imply that the delay is WSG's fault....if you want a European security firm then look elsewhere.....you can't suddenly be surprised that WSG operates in Africa and things are slightly different there.
yrabs: i didn't realise that the EU extended to Southeast Africa
