LSE shares still on a small discount compared with Toronto. Currently 0.60CAD which is around 37GBX
Hopefully we see some 1st Nalunq drilling results in this month but guess the news flow will start in November. There was a tweet with a short view of Vagar from a helicopter. https://twitter.com/geologycharlie/status/1450730248354553856?s=21
I trade on the toronto tsx. Sometimes i see the weirdest volumes on the LSE. Now there is another 515k mentioned as sell yesterday…
Was someone really selling 650k aexg shares yesterday?
Detail from the interview. They use a geo lab in Ireland.
First results of the 30.000m Nalunaq drilling campaign should come in the coming weeks. 3rd party engineering study is scheduled to be finalized in end Q3. Looking forward to see some updates
It definitely will attract more eyes on Greenland.
The Bluejay Disko claim is situated far up north in a really remote area. I wonder how many months per year it has good accessibility/ working conditions. In that perspective I think the AEX Sarqaa and Sava claims have also great potential for rare earths and battery metals. These claims are more south in a less remote area , and have better accessibility/weather conditions year round .
Also there was a lot of environmental research done at the Nalunaq mine. See: https://dce.au.dk/udgivelser/vr/nr-351-400/abstracts/no-386-environmental-monitoring-of-the-nalunaq-gold-mine-south-greenland-2004-2019/#_ftn1
and the AEX news release on it last year: https://www.accesswire.com/597465/Environmental-Report-Declares-Historical-Nalunaq-Mine-a-Blueprint-for-Future-Mining-in-Greenland
You can't compare AEX with Greenland Minerals (GGG.AX). From what I understand is the main concern the pollution that can be caused when the uranium is mined. A quote from the Inuit Ataqatigiit party that won the election:
"We must listen to the voters who are worried," Egede continued. "We say no to uranium mining."
So they mention uranium and not mining in general.
See article: https://themarketherald.com.au/shares-in-greenland-minerals-asxggg-dive-as-greenland-election-threatens-kvanefjeld-project-2021-04-08/
This news can have certainly some impact on the SP of AEX but Greenland politics is not against mining in General.
Huge trading volume on TSXV today.

Let's hope this is just a bump in the road. The fact that covid restrictions cause a delay I can fully understand. Also sea freight prices are going trough the roof at the moment, I've heard prices of 6 times more or higher compared with last year.
Mining equipment also went up a lot (Just look how much caterpillar shares went up the last 6 month)
However I wonder what is meant by 'a change in civil engineering requirements' of the floatation circuit. Does it mean they need replace equipment or make a complete new design ? This can have serious impact so would like to hear more information on it
Also The bulkhead issue worries me a bit. In interviews the CEO said the mine was left in stellar condition so I assumed they did an inspection of the construction.
I just hope they don't skip too many steps by trying to run into production. in my opinion the 2 points above are setbacks not related to Covid or price increases.
Nice to see some activity here. I 've started buying AEX Gold shares last year on the TSX before there was a listing on the LSE. So far I'm very happy with the management doing what they promise and in the set timeframes. Also no debt and no warrants and fully funded with a clear plan for 2021. Of course there is a risk since they skip the feasibility study and start to mine immediately, but the grades are good and they have a stockpile of ore to produce to start with.
