Strangely enough, same thing is happening on the AVCT board. All the longest-serving and most vocal supporters of the share being picked off one by one. It's obviously a new ploy by the derampers/botflies. Just goes to show that you shouldn't rise to their bait. As you point out mjs94 it probably also means that the MMs badly want shares because life-changing news is well overdue in both companies!

When you think about it, the people who validate these tests must be under huge pressure as the number of companies applying to them multiplies. I'm not saying that others are nearly as good as Avacta's but unless Mologic have some really good contacts and/or are very good at calling in favours, why would they prioritize a small UK company post Brexit?

Anyway, it wouldn't be Avacta if it was all going to be plain sailing would it?

For this reason it's going to be very difficult politically to oppose a testing regime that (ultimately) feeds into a Covid freedom pass, signaling a return to normality.
If we don't do it, we not only lose the economic advantage of the speedy vaccine roll out, but way worse than this, we increase the danger of new mutations becoming ever more adept at finding those members of the population that have no antibodies. It's a very scary prospect.

They have said women of a certain age are more likely to get these blood clots. My guess is that it will be linked with HRT treatment. Women undergoing HRT are supposed to get regular blood pressure checks. Guess whether that safety check survived lockdown!

A 'notifiable disease' is any disease that is required by law to be reported to government authorities. The collation of information allows the authorities to monitor the disease, and provides early warning of possible outbreaks.
At 6.15pm on 5 March 2020, a statutory instrument was made into UK law that adds COVID-19 to the list of notifiable diseases and SARS-COV-2 to the list of notifiable causative agents.
This change was made by adding them to the Health Protection (Notification) Regulations 2010.
This change in law requires GPs to report all cases of COVID-19 to Public Health England.

Until such time as this law is overturned, there will be continued need for testing. It's all down to when we take the decision that Covid is a disease that we can live with and have no fear of. Not going to happen any time soon!

Anterior nasal swabs sample the easily accessible parts of the nose and are therefore painless and straightforward to administer, unlike nasopharyngeal swabs which are generally regarded as painful and unpleasant. Avacta and its partners will continue to develop both sampling methods in parallel in order to bring high performance COVID-19 tests to market quickly to suit a range of use cases.

I have been watching this one for a while and bought in today. My three daughters all became vegetarian while at their respective universities, so am becoming an aficionado of fake meat!

Was in SYME during suspension and rushed for the exit as soon as it was relisted. With the Greensill scandal hitting the headlines and blowing up in Cameron’s face (couldn’t have happened to a more deserving toff) I’m amazed that SYME still has such a cult like following. I guess some people prefer mystery over transparency!
