Investing is not short term this is a longer term play when the world is scrambling for the precious metals.

The divi at rough 8% is good collected over 10 grand this tax years from Glencore.

I cannot complain with Glencore as it has paid me 10 grand divi (probably started something here) as well as profit .

I never understand why people fight for something that they will become apart of .

The difference a day makes

Everyone has their own strategy.

Totally agree about the divi payment being miserable considering the profits being made as there are better divi payers out there .

Glencore has also a better divi at present ,and the good thing that makes them a good trading share is you only have the dealing cost to pay .

You have lost decent profit if it retraces which Bp tends to do .

How many times has BP retraced from over £5 back to the level it has .BP has retraced 3 times from well over £5 back to the £4:70 within a year .

So anyone trading has made a good profit.

Like I said I hope to sell at £5 and will see how Glencore are as they are another one that tends to retrace alot .

I know people have different strategies.

I used to look on BP as a long term investment to which I was hoping to sit back and collect divi.

But when you make a good few grand profit and watch it disappear, the divi does not seem to cover it .

I have a nearly 30000 and think they are cheap at this price .But if they go to £5 ….9 grand is a lot to watch it disappear.

Also there is higher paying divi than BP

I thought that what investing was about making a profit.

How many here have tried to invest long term only to watch it retrace and lost a good profit.

Bet there are a good few ,me for one .

My thing now is I set a target price and sell .If it goes further hey ho .

I will take some profit from £5 and see then what happens.

I thought the oil price had tanked .

I’m very surprised that the oil price is where it is ,with what is happening in the Middle East .Is it being kept down .

If there is a ceasefire where will the oil price go .

The board had better appoint someone decent to try kick this share higher as it is doing nothing.

Definitely need a good bit of news to propel this higher.

Only share I ever want to stay low ,so I get get more for my bucks with share saving scheme .

You have 3 choices,which you have to select .

1 Automatic reinvestment in the share that paid the divi .

2 paid in to your account for you to reinvest .

3 paid to your bank account .

And welcome to the crazy world of share dealing .

One tip .

Do your own thing and don’t listen to ramper or deramper advice .They are only spouting there own agenda .

There are some big kids in this playground.Infact I’m sure kids would not even argue and call each other names .
