Only management with talent equal to that of a bunch of muppets could lose a company 50 pct of its value in 3 months, this lot should be removed immediately, rather than let them sit there for another 3 months of doing nothing but getting paid, completely and utterly useless, the whole world has to perform to new forms of performance related pay, I bet even this bunch make their staff perform to kpi's and a load of other codswallop that they are immune from and continue to corporate speak their way to the next payday...… out the lot of them now..... useless bunch of muppets.....
I do not pay any attention to broker notes, see below from the MIGHTY GS.... since then nothing ………..

The guy that made that call is probably still there, but this to the bottom of the pile somewhere, kept his head down and still got, gets paid for other such calls...……..
I totally agree, employees have to go through monthly 1-2-1's in this corporate BS world, but the management seem to be able to completely F up a company and get paid bonus, shares, big pay packets and pension contributions..... even when they don't perform, why do fund managers and big shareholders put up/allow this, if employees performed the same way it would, letters, hr and then the sack, management of this company,...… hang on for more £££ and do absolutely nothing but decide when they are going to leave and with what package...………….. show them the door and give them performance related payouts … in this case nothing...………..
That's what makes me edgy on buying into this now, they have been dropping bad news every 3 months for about a year, price drops, more bad news etc... but knobs at the top still get paid and big bonuses and the big pension payouts….. think its not unique to CNA, seems to be the trend for a lot of FTSE companies,,,, all pigs with their snouts in....
Looking at the data provided here there does not appear to be massive short positions in play. Long and Short positions play some part in any portfolio IMHO, if you do short then you do have to pay the lending premium and you also have to cover dividends etc, its been going on for ages so I don't understand why anyone would say they are going to investigate it when its a normal function of the market and in this case does not even cover 2pct of the companies shares in issue, if it where in really high numbers then maybe, but I don't think anything will get done TBH.
YES and the dead wood, those directors and senior staff still drawing fat salaries and big pension top ups for reducing a company share price by over 75pct in 5 years but still have been paid bonuses, salaries and fat pensions...… and annoyingly been allowed to get away with it, not just in CNA either...…. the whole system is wrong! it rewards constant failure.
jog off they do not care what happens.... you pay for your stock,,,, while in a year or more some of these guys can walk out of a company with golden parachutes, loads of shares that cost them nothing and a good pension............ what do you need explaining .......... when all goes well they get pay rises .. when it goes wrong they get pay offs.... and another STUPID comment ... "a known shorter" ......... I am not short of this stock either so get your facts right or just jog off............
52 week low .... just a complete and utter shambles,,, the BOD need to have their feet held to the fire, they are supposed to be well paid and rewarded to provide shareholder value NOT destroy it in a matter of weeks....
Yes your going to have to hang on a long time, me too, while this BOD keep picking up free shares, with a share price destruction like this they should get NOTHING, they seem to pick up big pay rises and bonus payment when the share price rises, but they also seem to benefit when they duff it up....................
Yes, been watching for a while, in a local I go to, they have outed GNK IPA etc and installed Marstons, if this is replicated over the estate of this institution then could do well for sales. When you consider where this is in relation to the 52/wk high/low could be worth a punt, especially with XMAS round the corner. IMHO
my point was that we have suffered a near 20pct drop in little over a week, on supposedly good numbers etc, if the company is fundamentally sound then the issue has been caused by the way management have portrayed the future. I just dont know why but management teams just dont know how to say nothing if there is nothing positive to say, IF IT AINT BROKE DONT FIX IT.............
