RE: adv11 - Can you buy28 Apr 2018 09:35
Ive also been talking with the company, Andy i think. My brokers are I-web, who are the same as Lloyds/Halifax. They make decisions like this but will never discuss them with their customers. I don't think Andy is getting the promised call backs either. I tried dummy buys through HL and Jarvis/Xo, and it seemed they would accept the orders. I didnt even notice the KIDs. But having my ISA with I-web, that isn't really an option.
I spent last Sunday researching possible causes, and i believe i found the reason. I am not sure who writes the KID's, but RGL has a risk rating of 4, which other Reits i have recently purchased also have. The difference is in the description of the intended investor. Other companies usually have that they are aimed at investors with a diverse portfolio, but RGL says it is aimed st institutions and investors with a professional advisor. So i can understand it if they base the decision on that.
I really had to press IWeb for an actual reason, but all they would say is that they are a retail broker and RGL is a professional investment.
Looking at the way Iwebs website works, i assume i would have been able to add or sell, but because i sold out briefly, i cant reinvest. I think i would face the same with MedicX, because their research page has also disappeared, but i can still buy as i am invested.
The annoying bit for me is that i am allowed to invest in the most crooked AIM companies, where i lost a lot of money, but now i have rebuilt my portfolio, i am not allowed to invest long term in some professional investments. It not like RGL have much retail property. And i could still buy RGLZ apparently.
