Thanks for the comment ragnarlothbrok. It's difficult to know what I-web does when there is a currency conversion involved as well. Looking back at my last two dividends I certainly was 30 percent down. On one they just used the same gross and net figure and on the other they were 30 percent apart, but I get nothing to show what tax they have taken off or what has happened to that money. I know I have no chance of convincing them they are wrong, so I have tried the parent company at Lloyds and the department I had to submit my W8BEN to. Whatever the true situation would be fine with me, but I get the feeling I am paying because I-web can't be bothered.

Was delighted to get a reply to my recent e.mail expressing a few concerns over the attitude of UK brokers.
- they are getting in touch with Barclays to see what problems can be resolved.
- UK investors should be paying 15 percent withholding tax IF their brokers submit the paperwork correctly.
- there has been no change in the way DGOC pay dividends that would affect the withholding tax.
If only my brokers were as responsive. Are you reading I-Web/Halifax/Lloyds ? No, of course not.

Have a read of todays Investor Report. This isn't the evil company that many fear. It holds the leases mainly to student accommodation. 21.8 percent discount ! A small top up for me today. Dividend announcement any day now.

I'm beginning to wonder who is running this company. One RNS to declare a dividend, which impressed me as it is a month early for payment. Another RNS to put the payment back one day, now a third RNS to say it was all wrong and it a month later - as it should have been all along. And who's paying for all these RNS's. Not Mr.Incompetent, I am sure.

Quite a good write up in The Sun City page today. NRR building residential properties above shopping centres, grocery stores in pub car parks. UK Retail is very much alive and kicking.

Thanks for the update VistaMan. I'm still paying 30 percent tax in my Isa with the W8-BEN in place - although I had no problem trading without one. My broker looked into it in depth - that was their decision, and there is nothing I can do about it. I think every broker is treating this differently. I agree that the dividend is still worth it, and I do like the company. This is stopping me continuing to add though. Recent reports of Barclays not allowing any trading will lessen the market for these shares though - if brokers see anything as too complicated they seem to take the easy way out. Still waiting for any reply from my brokers regarding the sterling dividend payment. I am expecting them to stop further dealings. Anything for a quite life in their office.

I would try e.mailing DGOC and advising them of this situation. With I-web I have had a few companies where they have allowed me to invest and then stopped me adding. Some of the companies were quick to sort it out and pleased I let them know. Others weren't interested of course.

Thanks for all comments. I'll give it a go, but certainly agree with broker comments. It is impossible to explain a situation like this to the people who answer the phone or do "live chat", but equally impossible to talk to anyone experienced.

I have been very impressed with the information posted recently by a variety of people. Has anyone any understanding of the dividend tax situation, if the company are trying to do anything about it, or what has actually changed ?
To briefly sum up I hold DGOC in my ISA (UK of course), I have filled in and submitted the W8-BEN forms, but I am still getting dividends less 30 percent tax. Previously other people on this forum have told me they are paying tax but at a lesser rate. My broker investigated but reported back that DGOC changed the way they pay dividends last year. Previously they had been able to pay dividends without stopping tax, now they can't, and that individual investors not paying 30 percent tax will be liable later. They added that IF DGOC went back to paying dividends like they did previously I may get repaid.
All above me I'm afraid.

Thanks Wolfbag2. I was alluding to the fact that many AIM oil exploration companies have nothing coming in except from fund raising. Hopefully, while we are sitting waiting we are selling oil and gas. ---
The revenue of US $8.8 million was composed of US $5.2 million in oil sales and US $3.6 million in gas sales realised.
Personally, I don't expect to ever make my investment in Echo back, but I will be having a good go by continuing to average down until we get moving again. When all the rampers return and start talking about "the weak being forced to sell" - that's when I will start selling.

Good, I made a small top up of 40,000 to bring my average down a bit. I'm already in far too deep thanks to being impressed by Fiona. September coming soon, and at least we have a bit of an income, so hopefully they will start the publicity machine soon.

Agree with all thoughts on DUKE, and good to see the guys behind the company. I now only invest in quarterly dividend payers, they keep my interest better, and I have also doubled my investment in Duke this week. The trouble with a lot of quarterly payers like London Metric and Tritax BB is that as the price rises and the companies become more established, the yield doesn't follow suit. VSL/VPC are another company who I think are going places, their dividends are outstanding.

Being manipulated with algorithm trading by Blackrock, Bybrook Capital, CZ Capital, GLG Partners, JP Morgan, Merian and Odey Asset. They know Woodford is having to sell a large stake in NRR, they have a downer on Retail, they are vultures.
Personally I am adding here and in DGOC and am way over my intended investment in both, they are too good to miss at these prices. In a way I hope NRR do cut the dividend a little, the yield would be massive at these prices.
Please never take notice of what anyone on these forums says though !

Automatic Trade ALGO - They are definitely not retail trades, they are computer driven trades made to manipulate the market. While this is going on any sensible retail investors are mopping up very cheap shares. Next two dividends already announced.

Well I've tried to keep quiet all day, but the insults are certainly starting to fly. Calling tsibis "rabid" is totally out of order, maybe even racist ? (just the one as ?'s seem to upset sensitive folk).
These forums are for everyone - telling someone to "check out now" is a sure sign of someone with a false sense of superiority. We are all crew members here. No room for Captains on this "Ship of Fools".
We long term shareholders MAY lose out big time here. Management MAY do very well if they play along with our new potential owners. I'm gone (but only from this toxic forum for now).
