I bought this share a few weeks ago but nothing much has happened. Looking on their website just now I see they're quoting an SP from 13 April when it rose 3.85%! Think I'll sell in the morning and invest elsewhere.

I bought yesterday and the price rose! If a few more punters buy I can sell! Seriously, this is a chronically undervalued share - when the boom eventually arrives this will rocket!

Long-term it's a possible winner. Short-term it's a pump & dumper. I sold out yesterday and it rises 15% today! Grrr! The facts are that they made a £5m loss on revenues of £6m. Looking ahead, it's becoming more and more expensive for oil companies to find oil and maybe OHM can help but their methods have not yet been universally accepted.

Yield is 24% and their biggest investment is in Oxford Nanopore Technologies who are expanding fast.

Pleased to hear you're invested in CFM. I'm hoping to retire on my profits from that company! As for other books just Google "Investment" and order any that look appealing from your local Library. I've recently given up on A Beginner's Guide To Day Trading Online by Toni Turner - life was too short to read it or implement its recommendations! But I am looking forward to reading The New Great Game - Blood & Oil In Central Asia by Lutz Kleveman. And I can highly recommend The Last Oil Shock by David Strahan. The basic rules of economics dictate that more demand than supply means the price rises. Oil companies who can find oil in any quantity are a licence to print money IMHO. But which ones actually will is a good question... As for websites - markets.ft.com is good and I also consult britishbulls.com/oilandgas which, after the Market closes, shows you how all the companies performed and if you click on one it instantly shows you where the current SP is compared with previous prices. Whether you agree with their candlestick analysis is another matter! Much like Astrology, sometimes it works...

What has the UK housing market got to do with IPI? Have you bothered to find out what they're invested in? Or what their current NAV is?

Read some books! I'm currently reading The Next Big Investment Boom by Mark Shipman (Kogan Page 2006) which is interesting. He recommends investment in commodities and most of my portfolio happens to be invested in oil and gold. And he gives a simple explanation of Technical Analysis which has made him millions. I think buying on the basis of 52 week high compared with current SP is a good place to start but more research is required before investing. Bouncing off an all time low is encouraging, as are profits and no debt. DYOR! OHM meets 2 out of 3 criteria!

The interims were a curate's egg but revenues up 31% was good news. I suspect OHM is a good long term hold as they have no debt but short term I can't see the SP doing much.

The company still owns 80% of a goldmine full of gold (allegedly). So the SP is basically an option on the value of that goldmine eventually being realised. Cheap at this price IMHO.

I can't see this rocketing but what effect will the inevitable new green world have on the SP?

If you're interested in BRWM because you think paper currencies will soon need skips in which to transport them, rather than wheelbarrows, think again. After perusing their website I see that Gold only represents 11.9% of their portfolio (Jan 09 figure). Perhaps £500 in a few individual gold mining shares would be more rewarding? I recommend AR and AUR on the grounds that they're both sitting on huge assets not reflected in their SPs.

Wish I'd sold last Thursday at 14.3p and bought back in today! But, long term, these have much higher to fly IMHO.

Unlike a lot of other REITs Brixton has not had a Rights Issue. So, given time, the SP should regain the same giddy heights it reached before but we might have a long wait. Alternatively, I'm hoping for a Takeover Bid at Bargain Basement money which should still let me exit with a smile on my face i.e. as long as the bid is over 50p!

More shares sold than bought but the price rises 18%! Obviously still worth buying! Not that I trust these sell/buy figures. I bought into AUR this morning and it came up as a sell.
