This is a very strange share! I bought yesterday and if I'd sold today I'd be down 10%! Can anyone explain why all those small deals appear in Recent Share Trades - it doesn't make sense. I researched the company (along with Globus Maritime) and it seemed to me that shipping companies are a highly-geared play on emerging from recession. When things are going well shipping does REALLY well. In addition, I was impressed that Goldenport have recently sold a ship for $11m more than they paid for it. Would you buy a secondhand ship from these people?

For about 3 hours today AGTA was up 14% on tiny volume - what would a few big buys do for the price?

I just bought a few at slightly over the mid-price. This is just the sort of share that can rocket 100% and still be under-valued. Market cap is £0.83m but they have over £3m in their piggy bank...

Apparently more shares bought than sold but the price drops 6.25%. Investors Chronicle is running a feature in the forthcoming issue about companies who help oil companies - hopefully OHM will get a favourable write-up...

Sold today after holding for 4 months. Exited with a 15% profit but no doubt they'll rise now I'm out! Invested the proceeds in IRV so it will be interesting to compare the SPs in 3 months time.

As the only person apparently dealing in SAA today I feel somehow special! And baffled! Advertising will benefit when the upturn comes and WPP was recently tipped so why the lack of interest in SAA? I like the fact that they have offices worldwide and the dividend appears to be well-covered...

You're missing the point! Dawson's involvement in newspaper & magazine distribution is effectively over but they have other profitable businesses which might interest Smiths News who recently bought Bertrams which was part of Woolworths. They paid £8.6m for a business which had sales in 2008 of £122.5m - that seems like a bargain price to me! I know that almost every library book I borrow has a Bertrams sticker inside it! Smiths News are looking ahead - newspapers and magazines are in their death throes. Within a few years circulations will have plunged so low the cover prices will have to rise so much they'll even alienate the diehard readers. I'm already questioning paying £2.50 for Saturday's FT!

To answer your question - we are buying this stock because we believe it is oversold. Yes, they've lost a lot of revenue on their newspaper contracts but there are other parts of the business. Maybe Smiths News would be interested in making an offer?

Steady riser and I'm hoping the dividend will be subject to a generous increase as it's well-covered.

My analysis was that this company is on a forward PE of 0.5! It's valued at £32m and yet profits from its goldmine are expected to be double that for the next few years. Even more if gold takes off which I think it will! Governments printing money to buy their own debt can only be good news!
