Unconvincing imo. If they couldn't get the placing shares due to high demand at 9p, they could've easily bought in the market at 9.3p like many of us did. I'm very positive about OMI but this consistent avoidance of even a token investment from the directors leaves a slightly sour taste in the mouth.

There's not much in this life I'm 100% sure about, and share prices will never be one of them.

I don't actually mind people posting comments that are negative, as long as they are thought through and come from a balanced viewpoint. Non-stop ramping is just as useless as non-stop sniping - surely we should all want the unvarnished truth, whatever that may be, and frank and honest debate is the best way to get to that.

But when the negatives are just dogmatic, bitter, and a result of having a huge chip on the shoulder regarding historic issues, they just don't add any value. Just like rah-rah-rah rockets-to-the-moon posts don't add any value. Both are just noise.

There were no lack of reported prices/trades on the actual London Stock Exchange site. And anyone with a holding can see the true live prices trivially easily.

Why would they care? Set a bid and offer spread either side of the market-clearing price, and make a nice margin on every trade. (Relatively) easy life. You seem to be implying they are actively trying to enable certain favoured buyers or sellers to achieve non-true-market prices. Why would they do that? And if by some bizarre miracle they were risking their livelihoods by doing so, why would they do it on a tiny AIM miner where the volumes are lost in the rounding of just AIM, never mind the market as a whole?

Why do people think MMs are manipulating things, restricting availability etc. They make their money on volume, they generally don't care a fig what the SP is, as long as trading is as active as possible. They won't "get rekt" because they aren't taking a position.

Would've been better to average down a couple of weeks ago instead of spouting invective. If you weren't a buyer at 5p why would you be a buyer at 12p?

I bought late last year at 3.9p with a target of 12p. Getting hard not to take profits.

There's an old story about JP Morgan that most people here have probably heard. Back in 1929, when even his shoe-shine boy started giving stock tips, he figured everything was overvalued, and sold up. Just in time.

Fair enough - apologies, not my place to judge. The relevant percentage for me is less than 1% (house paid for, pension mostly in managed scheme, bulk of ISA funds etc in much lower risk assets.) I like to play with small pots in specualtive stuff but rarely more than 5-10k at a time.

The only thing that puzzles me about people sitting on losses in the hope that they'll recover ... why do you think it's likely that you'll recover your losses sitting in a share in which you are disillusioned and have little faith? Why not move the money into something you think has better prospects. It makes no difference whether you recover your losses in this share or some other share, and if another one is a better bet then.....

I've got a small speculative punt here, bought a few weeks back in the 3s. it's obviously done quite nicely so far, but I have a higher target and a one year window. If it comes in, great. If not, well this is an AIM miner, of course it's speculative!

As with most online discussion fora the problem here is 90% of posters are either "true believers" or "doom mongers." Neither type really add anything to the discussion.

Because however good or bad the results are (and 2g/3g aren't really "world class") there's nothing in the results that paint an obviously and significantly better story than what we already know.

A tip: if you think one thing and the market as a whole thinks something else, it might be that the rest of the world are morons. But that's not the most common explanation.
