Fort, we don't know whether or not they engaged with institutions or not - it's my belief they have done so extensively. As it stands and if we take SC at his word with regard to dilution, funds wouldn't want to buy in the market and would prefer to wait until we do need new equity, which will happen. Therefore, I don't see lack of engagement as being the reason for the sp.

For me, the real reason is risk. The project still has a number of inherent risks and the Board's approach is to remove those risks over the coming 18 months.

We need to give investors no reason not to invest and we're not there yet.

RK, I'd never discount NM's ability to pull a rabbit from the hat, although the refinancing of the loan by Samuel suggests a lack of interest from the market and reeks a little of desperation.

NM is all in on solg and I'm sure he'll do everything to preserve his investment.

Jerry, I don't know the answer to that, nor whether they've hit their targetted cash realization. Either way, it certainly hasn't taken them long to clear the decks.

I see Newmont have disposed of another of their assets. They've sold their Porcupine operation for up to $425m. This brings the total so far of their asset sales to $.4.3bn. This total includes the $330m they got for selling the Fruta del Norte credit stream facility to Lundin.

I don't know what the situation in Australia is, but in the UK it's a complete waste of time trying to take action against either a Liquidator or Administrator.

There was talk on here last week about DGR's current position.

Today they issued an announcement stating that the Supreme Court of Queensland has imposed an order that requires DGR to lodge $3.46m by 14th March as security for the costs of their legal action against the liquidators and various trustees of Armour Energy. It can either be in the form of cash or other 'acceptable' forms of security. Our shares? The problem is these have already been given as security for the Samuel loan.

DGR has the right of appeal against this order which must be lodged by 12th Feb. The announcement states that DGR is 'considering its position'.

This is clearly quite a conundrum for DGR. Do they wish to bet a good portion of the money they raised recently on a legal case they may lose?

Magoo, agreed, but I do wonder why they've come to London. The webinar wouldn't require their presence so what do they have here that necessitates a trip? It's not large shareholders, nor is it existing bankers. The only thing I can think of is our lawyers, but even they have NY office.Perhaps it's a roadshow for London based institutional investors?

You do have to wonder why now? We had an update in November and it would seem superfluous simply to repeat the same thing. Mind you, I'm not holding my breath.

Covgaz, it's fair to say DGR don't share your pessimism. They've leveraged themselves to the hilt in order to protect their investment here and I think we can assume Mather knows more than we do about the position. He's risked the future of both DGR and Samuel Holdings, as well as his own wealth, on Solg. Hopefully that provides you with a bit of comfort?
