SandyShore, fair enough and I fully 'get' the arbitrage position you believe exists. However, you still don't answer the question about ignoring what management says. It is quite unequivocal...the current proposals attribute "little value' to the equity. I suppose your argument is that at the current sp, the value is already "little' enough and that any proposal will offer greater value?

Not at all...I don't short anything and never have. I had a look at this company in order to see if there was any value to be had...I concluded there isn't, but that's just my opinion. However, when the Board of a company makes the comment that this one did, I tend to believe them. I've seen this time and time again over the years...a Board explains that the game is effectively over, but private investors, believing they know better than the management, buy shares and then ramp the arse out of it. It ALWAYS ends in tears. Therefore, my question was a simple one; why do you think you know more than the board? Or do you think they were being deliberately mis-leading?

SandyShore, can you explain why you are ignoring what the Board of the company has told shareholders? Don't you believe them?

To make it it simple; I never, or very rarely, initiate a personal comment, but I most certainly respond to them. And in your case, I'll continue to do so. By the way, just to reiterate, I'll continue posting here for as long as I wish, regardless of whether that upsets your sensibilities.

Just replying to AEM. He and a few others, you included, are incapable of responding to a post without making it personal. This has always been the case on this board and I'm afraid if someone has a pop at me, they'll get it back in spades. And that includes you lindoser. If you actually bothered to read what I've said over the past year or so about WTG, you'll see I've always wished it well. The fact you can't accept that is your problem, not mine.

Lindoser, absolutely I post negative stuff about Quenron; after all I did lose over £50k on it. And for guidance, I will continue to post about it. Indeed, it's only an utterly deluded loon who has anything positive to say about it. However, as far as WTG is concerned,you are unlikely to find a single post in which I have offered anything other than good wishes to shareholders. It's a shame it hasn't worked out, but the crap left behind was simply too great to surmount.

I agree, institutions will never touch this bloke again...just ask that poor sap at M&G. How much did he lose? Somewhere in excess of £200m I think. Cracking deal! However, no doubt they are more than a few of the thick ramptasticals from this board hanging around somewhere. jmr, not according to him. He states on his Knob Park web site that he's intending to IPO the business in a couple of years and is confident it will be worth over £1bn. Currently the business is worth the square root of ferk-all. However, I agree with your comment...there's not a cat in hells chance of him ever returning to the public markets.Can you imagine any accountant, lawyer or broker being willing to act? Sorry, that's very naive of me.They'd all sell their grandmothers if there was few bob in it. Still, at least the Stock Exchange wouldn't allow it; or would they? AEM, they didn't 'clown it up'. They bought a pup; no, I'll re-phrase that...they bought the mangiest dog ever to have graced the Stock Exchange. They were brilliantly persuaded otherwise and have driven their own business to the edge of bankruptcy as a result. And had it not been sold, you wouldn't be posting on this bb anymore. It wouldn't exist. I do however, agree with your observation about the current management. Sadly, they haven't achieved anything and are quite clearly incapable of forging a new business. Still, never mind, at least the CEO has enriched himself.

sorry Patrick, not sure what your point is? I know the shares have 'already been sold', that's what RNS's report...past events. My question was, why would anyone sell now when the company is on the brink of something so spectacular? I suppose de-risking is the answer, but it still seems strange to me.

this company has been defeated by the weight of it's history. It's game over. God, I can't wait to see someone in the dock for this utter disgrace.
