fuku, my thinking is twofold; I prefer to pay for new money and second, if we are allowed to subscribe, I think it will be at a discount, albeit not a significant one. In any event, I see from today's trades that we're losing some of last week's traders who all expected to become millionaires overnight.

most of us have been wondering whether to buy more at the moment...at least I have. I've decided it makes more sense to wait until the financing details have been announced, because if we are given the chance to subscribe for shares, Id prefer to do so rather than buy in the market. BTW, I emailed PS last week about this issue and didn't get a reply.

cadellin, undoubtedly we've attracted a number of punters over the past two weeks and they will have made a good return, and good for them. But most of us regulars are not punters and we know there's an awful lot more than 10 or 12p in this.

there have been a number of sales forcing down the price since that muppet at KDNC started spouting his tosh. I'd have thought it would have had the opposite effect i.e people selling up their KDNC paper and buying some here, which have real value. To quote the late and great Denis Healey;"silly billies".

Provided EMH can get over the political situation, I believe it will have an interesting future. But as it stands, it hasn't and neither does it have anything like the backing that BCN has. And bear in mind, Zinnwald now has a 30 year licence. EMH is a long way behind.

oily, good analysis. I would add the technical risk associated with larger scale production. Political risk; agreed. Very low due to Mexico's sympathetic mining environment. Pricing; prices will fall if all of the various projects come to fruition. However, most are a long way behind us and many will not happen. Competition;our position is protected by the off-take. Alternative eco-products. Yes, but a long way off, but should not be discounted.

Stats, the answer is that because there is no intention of doing anything with it, it was almost totally written-off. It doesn't necessarily reflect what could be achieved via a sale. If we can sell it for more than the $679,000, a profit will appear in the p&l. Mind you, this is just a side-show...although the cash would be handy.

cat, this is the key question. Discussions have been ongoing for ages and the implication has been that institutions in Asia will provide the funds.However, in my opinion, there will be plenty of different types of funders who'd be interested in this. The FS will prove the overwhelming economic case and the sector is just too sexy to be ignored. Over the past few years the company has had many hurdles to overcome, and has done so successfully. Financing has always been one of them, but from where I sit it's the easiest to deal with.

It was 70p. But why quibble over 5p? A masterstroke, cleverly triumphed by their board as an act of corporate genius.

oily, it's my opinion that what we're witnessing is a real awakening to what this company has to offer. Obviously, the approaching FS is focussing minds, but it's more than that. Private investors have finally woken up to the reality of lithium and have been looking for ways of getting into the market. Most had never heard of BCN, but there is now a growing market awareness and people can see just how big this is going to be. I'm hard pushed to think of a lithium play in the quoted sector which offers what BCN does.

steve, fair point; an OO would probably be the best option. My point to PS was that he should consider 'rewarding' long term holders by giving the opportunity on the same terms. I think this would be seen as a very good thing. I also pointed out to him that I prefer to provide a company with new money rather than to simply re-cycle someone else's profits by buying in the market. It is so much more constructive.
