He also draws an inference from the fact that RT hasn't posted anything on his Knob Park blog for three months. Who knows, perhaps they are planning a nice Christmas present?

I understand your concern,but we're not interested in short term spikes. Assuming the FS is good,which we are,in due course the market will value our share accordingly, regardless of whether it's Christmas or not. The bigger issue is to ensure it does actually appear before year end. We've had too many delays in the past and there have been too many announcements stating that it will definitely happen this time. Failure to deliver would not be looked at kindly.

My guess is he'd prefer not to be reminded of this interview. It's a salutary message of just how long these things take and should be borne in mind before investing in any junior exploration company. Still, we're only one year behind:-)

degsie,it was caused by a few very small trades which I guess were some of the punters getting out after the recent rise, although heaven knows why anyone would be selling just now. Due to the lack of shares held in public hands, the price is incredibly sensitive. In any event, the day-to-day movements are irrelevant.

The royalty issue is a tidying-up exercise. It would be a distraction in any sale discussions and a drag on value. Therefore,it makes sense to clear it up now, which I believe will be done outside of a court. I do agree that a sale isn't imminent...we are not far enough up the value curve just yet and I think yesterdays announcement with reference to the change in remuneration would cause more than a few raised eyebrows if a takeover was announced soon.

oily, I understand your thinking but am not convinced. Although shareholders may get a better return over a longer period,I believe someone will make an approach which the team will have to discuss with our major iis', who in turn will be inclined to take the money and run.

Phil, you are quite right. He has said on several occasions that he wasn't a production guy and yesterdays announcement signalled the intentions with as much clarity as possible. Similarly, as I said yesterday, the �1.30 is a complete red herring, which some people rather badly misunderstood.

Conversely, we will be in a far better negotiating position if we have an offer of finance.

Obviously it helps that it's an open pit mine,but I agree,it looks like an ambitious target. Having said that, I think the stops will be pulled out, and so far this year, the management team appear to have really got their skates on. In part, I think this is due to the nature of our investor base i.e the big institutions will apply as much pressure as they are able to. In any event, I don't think we'll need to worry about this...the project will be in the hands of RTZ or BHP by that time:-)

You should really just forget the 1.30 figure. It's no more than a benchmark, not an ambition. It is wholly irrelevant and people have got completely the wrong end of the stick.

anony, you are half right. They actually have some very good assets, BCN in particular! I do fail to understand how, after so many years, people still confuse KDNC with being a producer. You'd think investors would actually look at the company's web site.

realdeal, it isn't a minor issue; it represents a great deal of money. As for the change in remuneration, what it tells us is that PS expects to make far more money on exit by way of the new arrangement than the 250k he'd have got previously. This is yet another of the many crystal clear signals we've already got.
