Yes, I wondered about Hanwa's role in this. However, it seems inconceivable that they, along with the other institutions, would not have been consulted beforehand (this would involve making them insiders and not many institutions like that)

I guess the lack of control of the jv's makes it difficult for them to fit into KDNC's new strategy. This, combined with a lack of cash, may well make them willing sellers; although I guess they'd prefer not to be accused of selling cheap again. The NV situation is fascinating. The last RNS on the matter was deliberately opaque and was clearly designed as being no more than a holding statement. The placing was, apparently, subject to no more than regulatory approval...so why not say that we are still awaiting that approval, if that is the case? To my mind, something else is going on and the possible permutations are endless.

obs, I can see no reason why BCN would bid for KDNC. It may make a cheap offer for the jvs, but why would it want any of the other bits? EMH is the interesting holding, but that has way too much uncertainty at the moment (although I'm sure it will be resolved),but the fact is, BCN don't need anything else at the moment. They MUST concentrate on delivering on Sonora and getting Zinnwald to the starting post. These are big enough tasks for what is still a small company. Going back to the jvs, I guess KDNC are in a sufficiently weak enough position to have to listen to any offer, so I suppose it's possible our boys will make a seriously low-ball offer, although right now, we need all of our cash for the development phase.

I can understand your frustration (I sold out of REM a long time ago and haven't regretted it) However, one would hope that eventually some value will be delivered as the investee companies prove their worth and therefore, all may not be lost. The loan strategy and failed RTO of BCN was as cack-handed a piece of management as I've ever seen and it weighs heavily upon the company's reputation. Perhaps a complete management change is the only solution? Certainly, the current incumbents don't appear up to the task.

Gary, understood and I'm sure everyone on here appreciates your support on the SP site. I agree with your last paragraph as it relates to certain other juniors. But this is true of so many resource stocks. Punters are lured in and the simple truth is,most of them will never get anywhere near production. These companies have no place in a public market and the authorities are irresponsible to allow them listed status. Keep up the good work!

Sorry Gary, I wasn't referring to any factual errors, more a question of tone.And I admit I was being a tad sarcastic as we've become used to commentators making many factual errors, the most recent having appeared on the Lithium Spot web site. For example,were I writing the article I would have also referred to the level of institutional backing, not just Hanwa. This alone differentiates BCN from virtually any other AIM stock and I'm not just referring to the lithium space. I started buying here in Dec 2014 and share your views about its prospects. Just out of interest, what do you perceive are the ongoing risks? Obviously, finance is one, but others?

Your post implied that it had. My own view is that if the thing actually happens, and subject to the overall market conditions, our price will rise upon the announcement.

So,now we know! Hopefully, they've done their homework this time and have canvassed sufficient support from the institutions (it would be inconceivable that they hadn't) Obviously, the main objector last time around is not in the same position to block it. This is a very sensible move and we should all vote in favour. Personally, I was also hoping to see some news on NV and hope that it won't be too long before we do.

Rhambo, sadly, I think you are quite possibly correct. These guys don't just invent stuff and unless a truly compelling argument is put forward by the company (which QPP singularly failed to produce) private investors should take note of what's being said. By the way, I'm not saying the company doesn't have a valid response, merely that they'll need to issue something that demolishes the accusations line-by-line. The QPP defence mechanism was an object lesson in how not to do it...mind you, they were bent.

so, to summarise,the possible agenda items are: 1) re-domicile. 2) NV investment approval. 3) A full takeover. 4) disposal of Sonora and separate listing of Zinnwald on the London market. 5) approval for sale of borates. 6) erm....? None of the above. And yes, TC, Sonora will go into production and by end 2020 will be generating in excess of $200m ebitda. People should keep focussed on that.

It could be, although it's very surprising that given lithium is in the spotlight, and BCN is the best and most advanced prospect listed in the UK, that people haven't been attracted in droves. Just think of all the mickey mouse resource stocks that people flock to like moths to a flame. Strange, isn't it?

Indeed TC. It does make you wonder what's holding it back.And I don't believe it's finance. I suppose if we took a grown-up view, which would be that it's currently fair value for a company that hasn't started producing revenue, we may have the answer. But the market very rarely acts in a grown-up way (look at SOU and UKOG), so I'm not sure this explains it. Perhaps it's the level of institutional holding, which in turn prevents too much pi interest? Who knows? I really don't care at the moment...we all know the true potential. On a different matter, what are people expecting to appear on the agenda for the AGM and Special Meeting? Does the NV investment require shareholder approval? I haven't seen it being mentioned,but under normal circumstances it would.

good point. Additionally, NV are an investment house,they wouldn't have the expertise to actually run a business and will therefore need the staff. I love contradicting myself...within the space of a few minutes!

I am still confused about this. As far as I can see the company hasn't released any info about the AGM yet, and when I asked them the reply was that they aren't in a position to do so just yet.

TC, good question. If they are entertaining discussions, and specifically with NextView,our valuation must be closer to $1.25bn in order to reflect our resources and prospects (compared to Lithium X) So, do NextView have that sort of cash? One of the reasons that I don't think they are in discussions is the recent appointment of a new CFO and NED. Why would they do that right now if they were about to sell out? We know KDNC tried to get us on the cheap and I'm pretty damned sure others will have tried as well. In any event, it's all good stuff.

Fuku, agreed. They got a very good price for the company, but it was only at a 29% premium to the prevailing share price. Mind you, they are not as advanced as we are. My guess is that we've had numerous approaches, all of which have been turned down as being too low.
