Sean, speaking for myself, I wasn't 'upset', as you describe it, I was simply trying to understand what the regulatory requirements are. However, I do think there was an opportunity for the company to add some colour by welcoming CGP shareholders and reinforcing the new corporate direction etc, etc. In other words, a chance for some positive PR.

The answer is that there's no requirement for us to release the same statements as CGP and therefore the company won't be doing so, although I guess Canadian regulations are different.

DM, I get your point and agree an announcement from us with a bit of added narrative would be helpful.

FTJNY, yes, that thought had occurred to me as well, but I'm not sure it's correct. Anyway, I've asked Fawzi and will report back if I get a response.

TheItalian, we made the announcement in Canada, so I can only assume that UK regulatory requirements don't necessitate we do so here, although given the size of the transaction and its importance, this strikes me as being very odd.

Anyway, all that matters is that it's been done and we are now on our way to sunlit uplands ( before anyone accuses me of rampy nonsense, that was tongue-in-cheek)

The reason the RNS hasn't been issued is that the company is preparing another announcement which hasn't yet been finalised but is of great significance and must be read in conjunction with CGP's.

The company announced the deal on TSX and yet haven't done so yet here. A bit strange.

BTW, it was me who described it as a reverse takeover, which is exactly what has happened. The whole thing is quite astonishing and most welcome.
