It doesn't just smell funny, it absolutely stinks. A lot of small shareholders have been spooked out of their shares over the past week.

Companies can't put out announcements every time the sp either goes up or down, but it seems to me this recent collapse deserves something more than Scott simply saying he's 'disappointed' by the sp.

0.1% of the total number of shares in issue traded. More buys than sells and down 9%. Go figure!

The Newmont/NCM deal has been given the go-ahead by the regulatory authorities. I wonder how long it will take them to make their intentions known?

Incidentally, I would be stunned if we appointed any new NEDs. We've cut the costs and I see no point in ramping them up again.

I remember at the time when we reached "peak" NEDs, pointing out that we had more directors than many FTSE100 companies. We'd lurched from one extreme to another and all in attempt to make it appear the board was not just a puppet for Mather.

DM, I was trying to recall the circumstances when Twigger gave the commitment. Did it relate to Mather?

Wasn't a commitment given that all directors would be subject to annual re-election? I thought Twigger has said so.

I don't buy the argument that SC is doing nothing. If we didn't understand it already, this article points out just how much work is required to get the permits etc. Simultaneously, he's running a strategic review which, although we haven't seen any evidence of progress just yet, is looking at many different options and involves numerous interested parties. And bear in mind, he doesn't have huge numbers of support staff around him.

SC is not sitting on his hands, he's busy trying to achieve what virtually all of us on here want.

A fellow shareholder sent me an interesting link to an interview given by an ex Glencore CEO in which he gives his view about how majors treat juniors.

It's on Youtube under the heading Jervois Mining (JRV) and listen from about minute 12. It was sent via Whatsapp and I have no idea how to post a link. I think it was an interview with Crux.

If anyone harbours any sympathy for the idea of a jv, this may open your eyes.
