I see the votes today as a barometer of the extent to which Caldwell has mended fences with BHP and whether they are still interested or not. This also applies to Newcrest.

As we know, in the past BHP and Newcrest have blocked them, but we have no idea if Newmont will follow the same path. Similarly, we don't know how far BHP's supposed support for our strategy actually goes. The result will answer the question.

As far as the directors are concerned, will there be continued opposition to Mather? And will Caldwell maintain the massive majority he received last year? (Although this bb is no indication of the general mood, there's no question more people on here are opposed to his re-election)

1) With regard to your average earnings figure, did you simply google all CEOs in Australia i.e including those who run small private companies? Or did you bother to refine your search by looking at publicly quoted companies of a similar size operating in the same sector? In other words, did you conduct a proper peer review? Best answer honestly (I know how difficult you find that) because a quick look will answer the question. Incidentally, just to reiterate, I have never used the words 'poorly paid'. You know this, but refuse to admit it.

I can assure you, a quick search of UK listed companies will reveal the reality of my assertion that his base salary is still relatively low.

2) BBG talks balls all the time, but that's a separate issue. As far as Caldwell's domicile is concerned, I have already given you a full answer and until the company explains exactly where he spends his time, we are all in the dark.

1) Indeed I did, and if you knew who it was I shared a house with you'd blow a gasket. And yes I did live there for a while in the early '80s. Can you prove I didn't?

Q, the really sad thing is that this character is a very old man (somewhere between 79 and 85 years of age) and yet he is such an angry and unpleasant individual who feels it necessary to lie all the time. Nal, the debate about Caldwell's BASE salary started not long after he joined the company. He was paid 200k p.a, which some people thought was too high. I was of the opposite opinion. I was aware it had risen to 250k, but hadn't spotted the fact it will rise to 300k in the current year. I repeat; initially this discussion was about base salary, not total remuneration.

He was subsequently awarded a large dollop of share options which pushed up the total remuneration package. Some people were happy with this, others were not. My view was that I agreed with the principle, but did not and do not, want to see him get any more options. Even at 300k (approx 235k sterling) his base salary remains on the low side when compared to peers.

Domicile: I remain of the view that he spends most of his time in Ecuador. The Companies House announcement stating he was domiciled in Miami may be misleading. The reason I say that is because his previous domicile was given as Canada when in fact he was living in Quito. Because I believe this to be an important issue, I feel the company should clarify the situation. So far, they have failed to do so and I have, on several occasions, said this is unsatisfactory.

Mather is an NED with a sizeable share holding. His role as an NED is useful, but he is not an executive board member and the balance of power is clearly in Canada. Your assertion that because he sits on the Appointments Committee means that he's in control is not true and if you'd ever sat round a board table you'd know that. You'd also understand the role of an NED, which you don't.

You continue to accuse me of lying and talking 'balls', but it's interesting to note how you never, ever reply when your tosh has been rumbled. For example your most recent lie stating Caldwell was earning 800k p.a. You were exposed when you said you'd never used any other name on this site and had been a member for 9 years. NMM, thanks for the updated figures. I'd missed the fact ĥis salary has been increased. I think some of the 10k living allowance was included for part of the last financial year and is swept up in the 60k taxable benefits.

Separately, I do wish they'd clarify if he's living in Quito, which I'd assumed the living allowance was meant to cover. If he's actually living in Miami why are we paying it?

Nal, let's have a look at your claim SC earns '800k per year' i.e before share options.

The Report and Accounts for the year ended June 2024 reveal the following: 250k total salary and fees. 60k taxable benefits. 93k 'other', which is a sign-on fee. 3.2k pension contributions. Grand total 406,752k.

If I've got the hugely complicated arithmetic right, 406k is just about half of the 800k claimed by you.

Next point; his place of residence. I accept this has become clouded by the recent Companies House filing. However, we have no evidence he isn't living there, unless you have some proof. Unfortunately, my email to the company requesting clarity on this point has not received a response.

Q, thank you. The fact is he does this all the time. He accuses someone of having said x, y or z and is then completely unable to backup his claims. And you're right...he's a flat-out liar. For example, he told us the other day he's been on here for 9 years and has never used another name. Sadly for him, a quick look at his profile tells us he joined this site on 4th April 2023. One of his statements is clearly a lie.

As for 'facts', his base salary is most certainly low by peer comparison - that is a fact, which you would realise if you actually understood anything about corporate life. And I take it you realise the rest of his remuneration was made up of a bonus and share options, with the latter unlikely to be replicated in the current year...at least I hope not.

His ongoing bonus awards will be based upon his performance and the delivery of the milestones. If he achieves them, we should all be very happy to reward him accordingly.

I should add that I'd be delighted if something important was announced, but, for the reason I gave, it seems unlikely.

Nal, anyone with two brain cells understood what I was referring to - an RNS containing significant news. This was an admin announcement mainly for the benefit of Canadian shareholders who may be affected by a postal strike. Unless you think it was of great importance to the rest of us?

Rich, his base salary is low by ceo standards, and I'm not sure how raising 750m can be classed as 'tinkering around the edges'. He's achieved something which very few ceos of junior explorers ever do.

We are all frustrated by the share price, including SC, but the board have agreed a strategy and it makes good sense. I can only hope that we'll see a strategy for the regional next.

Of course the company's further ahead! Surely it doesn't need spelling out again?
