RE: Peach of a takeover target1 Aug 2022 19:54
The company has had a stream of acquisitions since 2012..Healthpoint Bio, Arthrocare, Blue Belt Tech, Brainlab, Atracsys Sark Integra Life sciences, and Engage Surgical spending about $3.3bn. These have been integrated into the three current divisions. A lot of the hard work has been done here to put S&N centre stage in future growth areas. Covid and Ukraine have given the Company significant hurdles to overcome in line with the other US based orthopaedics manufacturers. Nath certainly eluded to these and his reassurance was absent...terrible just terrible for a new CEO. Had he reinforced the fact that the backlog of operations requiring company products was snowballing daily and that the new Malaysian facility is already helping ease logistics then it would have thrown out a vision of competency in the face of adversity. We need a can-do rather than a can't-be-arsed-to leader here. It's glaringly òbvious to all but the Muppets who installed him. The Company is solid with over a century of provenance, unbroken divis and an unequalled reputation among surgeons and medical practitioners. It is breaking new ground on robotic surgery and AI and is the globes second largest supplier of medical dressings. I hope today has hit the nadir where intrinsic value is evident despite the Muppet at the helm. So many potential players must be card counting at present.
