RE: Makes you smile2 Mar 2015 08:38
Think you've hit the nail on the head Gotrader. The 2014 figures to be released next month are really achedemic as the Porta that moved into 2015 for year beginning Jan 1st is a critical mass company. The first six months should see rapid assimilation and skill deployment of PPS and Publicasity. This is already showing traction in the two recent substantial contract wins in month one. The buy-and-integrate policy will quickly dilute the HQ overheads given that PPS and Publicasity bring combined historic profits of £1.25m on board and the cost of dismantling the legacy LLP structure falls away quickly as we go to 2016. Given that the General Election plays directly into the strengths of PPSs' reputation management strengths I think it reasonable to expect a good upgrade in work in their sector. Cross-selling and provision of comprehensive multi-media PR packages are the key differentiators for Porta. With a fair wind, increasing company budgets, and a general election, H1 has the elements to pleasantly surprise. That would give H2 a clear run into the promised £50m MCap company envisaged by David in 2012. Sanlam has set clear and achievable goals for Porta, it is now up to the team to prove they have the capability to deliver - Newgate Australia is also a powerful antipodean engine to sercharge the prospects. Looks good, very good.
