Interesting days ahead Gotrader8 Jun 2015 20:47
So we get an after-hours transaction of 6.3m shares (2.28%) buy or sell??? On the same day we win a substantial contract with the Pensions Trust. As Gotrader points out - Redleaf, part of Porta Communications, won the account following a competitive tender process. The agency team is being led by Redleaf director Sally Walton, with support from Vanessa Chance, account director, and Rebecca Ingram, account executive.
Mike Ramsey, The Pensions Trust chief executive, said: “It’s our great pleasure to welcome Redleaf as our new PR consultants who have a huge amount of experience in the financial services sector.
"The last six months have been an exciting time of change at The Pensions Trust with the launch of DB Complete and we look forward to working with Redleaf and using their experience to help drive our business forward.”
Redleaf head of professional and financial service Charles Ansdell said: “The Pensions Trust is an expert provider of workplace pensions with an excellent record of providing a quality service to its members in the defined benefit space.
"It is entering an exciting phase of growth as it continues to broaden its membership beyond its traditional base in the not-for-profit sector and this is presents a great opportunity for the team. This is an excellent account for Redleaf to win and we are all looking forward to working with the team there.”
The Pensions Trust has almost 70 years' experience and c.£6.5 billion assets, and is run for the benefit of 2,400 employers and more than 200,000 members. So we either got another insto coming in or the (hopefully) final exit of the legacy seller. Either way, given all the recent contract wins, we should finally drop the anchor chain and start to progress forward at last.
