I appreciate all the comments and various few points, I genuinely hope it works out for you. I still can't get my head around the raising of funds, did he need to raise 40 or could have gone for less? Raised further funds at a later time or through sales of Antigen test which in theory should be approved soon.
TSBS1- don't talk wet, do principles, values, ethics and morales not mean anything to you? I feel sorry for you if they don't
Mikey, it was a genuine question. Don't understand why you were so rude? I did see a fair posts from you and now I don't, no harm in asking was there?
Themuir, I appreciate your honesty with sale you mentioned. I personally have sold out and it was when the recent funding was mentioned. I didn't like what I read, I still think the company are great and have huge potential. However I thought it was best for me to sell at 150+ re evaluate how much I am willing to invest and wait a shortwhile to see how the sp responds to placing.
You seem very quiet compared to when this was rising very quickly through April and May.
Just curious to know if you've sold out or are you still in? Obviously there is huge potential here and I assume you still are, just haven't read many posts from you.
I didn't wet the bed, financially we all have our limits, only invest what you can afford. I felt it was the right move, however I feel through insider trading and SP manipulation I was forced to sell to some degree.
You win some, you lose some. I hope all those invested win! You never know, I may jump back in...
At 2.10 I felt quite comfortable with the share price fluctuating up and down. I thought to myself my risk appetite would allow me to go to 1.55 but below that I would have to sell. Each to their own but for me that's as low as I wanted to go, however I thought it was very unlikely for the share price to hit 1.55 in such a short space of time.
Now I am not saying the placing is a good or bad thing, not interested in debating that but I am curious to know what peoples thoughts are on the price drop since Monday. Surely there has been some insider trading taking place for the SP to drop so much in such a short space of time! Especially considering the news released today.
Annoyed with how they have gone about it! Like I said the placing may be a good or a bad thing but very unhappy with how the sp has been manipulated over the past few days! Well it is AIM after all!
For anyone who has held their shares I genuinely wish you the best and I hope you all make a tidy profit. You certainly deserve it!
Cheng thanks for your great humanitarian efforts, won any awards recently?
Oh and of curiosity what value did your contribution have? Pipe down and chill out.
Wishing you all a wonderful weekend, take care and stay safe people.
Ps it doesn't cost to be polite.
PL75- I refrained from your using profanities as it is a sign of inferior intellect. Also I wouldnt mind a spot of rain, I hope it does.
I am quite good at mental arithmetic however not too sure on how the calculate their cost price. If I don't know what method they use how would I be able to calculate my cost?? I've used my contract notes and what I assumed was the correct method.
Moving on, thank you quickbuckinvestor, I have received another response for them and they use a moving average, they also do not take sales in to account. Only when all shares are sold they reset the average purchase price for future buys.
Makes a lot more sense now even though I don't agree with that method I understand it. Will be switching brokers as I'm not keen on investing on those terms in future.
PL75- shame on you and tour foul mouth!
PL75, why do you invest in the stocks? To make profit I assume. So why throw money away and let brokers take more than they should.
Your comment is pathetic, if you want my 3000 share I'll sell them too you for 6 quid a share with 4k for transaction fees...its a great deal, at least you'll own another 3000 shares!!
If you can't add any value to a post then just don't comment.
I purchased 2800 shares in AVCT at an average price of 146p as I made 4 purchases in the ranges of 142 to 147.
I then later purchased 200 shares at 1.87 to round of my holding to 3000 shares. It seems it was a big mistake.
My total cost price price inc fees was £4088 Inc fees for 2800. Once I purchased the extra 200 shares the total cost on my portfolio shows at £4601. This means the last 200 shares have cost me about £513. It just doesn't make any sense to me and I queried this with my broker, their response is below. The say it is because of average costing but it makes no sense to me as the bulk of my holding (2800) was at a far lower price than the final 200 at 1.87.

This means that for your Avacta Group Plc shares, your cost price has been worked out by taking the current number of shares you hold (3,000), multiplied by the average price you paid across the five purchases you've made of the investment (147.00 + 146.70 + 147.96 + 142.35 + 187.00, divided by 5, so 154.20). This comes to a total cost of £4,626, which after dealing costs comes to the £4,601.65 you see online.
Please be aware, the average cost calculation is reset if you sell the entirety of a holding; any future purchases in the same stock then ignore previous purchases in the cost calculations. However if you sell only part of a holding (even if you leave just one share invested) all previous purchases will continue to be taken into account in cost calculations if you buy more shares in the future.
