should you wish to sell on this increase or hold it is entirely your choice but please be careful ramping and deramping this share as quite a few newbie's in and may get stung.
Buy, sell or hold its your choice but please refrain from childish games.
If you don't mind me asking what is your total investment?? It seems like it is some investment!!
I was tempted to buy in yesterday at 0.107 but I was waiting for for 0.099...unfortunately it didn't come and I've missed out on a 30% rise.
Just bought in now at the peak of todays SP (so far) ar 0.142ets hope there isn't a little drop as I was 50/50 about buying now or in a couple hours (waiting to see if there was a little drop). However I didn't want to miss out like yesterday.
Spend the weekend researching and it looks a good investment.
Ps I'm hoping in 6 months I look back and think 0.099 or 0.014 didn't make much difference as it will have increased massively.
Pompey I think it will open at 60p+ unfortunately for you and I, I've been trying to get in at sub 30 but it serves me right for not taking a position when I had a chance at 34p.
Good luck with grabbing some shares under 60p in my opinion
Light bulb you say "Discoveries of this class and quality are rare!!". Have I missed something somewhere that confirms the quality? I appreciate the the quantity has been mentioned a few times but not the quality.
May I ask why you're feeling twitchy? What are you worried about the most? I've not invested yet as I've a fair bit more research to do however if I do invest I will be potentially investing at the price you've paid.
Firstly I would like to mention I ended up here as one of the posters (OlderandWiser) offered some great advice on another BB. This company was also mentioned a couple times.
I have spent the past hour reading through all the posts and I've been extremely impressed with the content of the posts...hardly any idiots or ridiculous comments considering you find some BB's full of them.
I appreciate you can't learn everything of a BB board and the past few RNS'. I would like to research some more over the weekend before I decide if would like to invest in this company as the last time I rushed it didn't turn out well. Results were due to come out and I quickly wanted in before they came out, very little research done and I invested. Unfortunately results proved disappointing and and share price dropped 80% but it was a very small investment as most mine are (new to investing and learning the ropes). In hindsight it was a silly mistake but you live and learn.
Anyway long story short, where else would be a great place to continue researching...any suggestions?
Olderandwiser wow! You weren't holding back were you, some really good advice there. In particular go in early and big not gingerly and late...had I dont that recently with 2 or 3 companies I wouldn't be dilly dallying now. That's one I will most certainly take away. Of course only after extensive research
Thank you
Thanks xxxyyyzzz, I read your post on another BB board the other day, I won't mention it as this is a BB board for Avacta.
I took a screenshot of what you said the other day because I thought that was really good advice! I'm kicking myself for not buying this at 55p but as you say there is always another opportunity.
Thanks for the advice Jonestrichard. I too was thinking if it hits £2 I'll be saying I missed the boat again.
I agree with everything you have said and it makes a lot of sense. I think once I've built a diversified portfolio across FTSE 100 sticks I won't be as worried about taking on a few AIM shares. As you've mentioned anything can happen on AIM and I know that through my experience as little as it may be.
Good luck on that investment of 15k, I really hope it works out for you.
Mannamead fair point and I respect your view. I wasn't worried about investing at all before however you learn very quick through experience. Starting to invest during a bear market and AIM stocks in particular has taught me a thing or too.
I'm not proud nor arrogant, happy to admit my mistakes and ask others about their views/opinions. For example the other someone mentioned for new investors half and half again what you were going to invest and learn what the markets are about which I thought was great advice.
Thanks Scarabbeatle, much appreciated for the advice and kind words.
Indeed I am invested in SNG too, I've decided to invest 20% of my money across a few stocks and as time goes on a little more. I am looking for a diversified portfolio as it reduces the risk.
I'm not here to get quick rich and I understand investing is no easy thing. I appreciate all the advice and research people do on these boards as knowledge certainly is power.
I'm quite fearful of investing as I've had my fingers burnt quite recently with one or two sticks and my broker! It has made think twice before rushing in to a stock...i am aware of Avacta's potential and it financial situation. I think it's a great company and heading in the right direction.
My question is do I jump in on Monday or wait for a potential retrace. I k ow some of you will be thinking "if you're in it for the long run then why worry" which is true. I originally was going to purchase some shares at 55p and it seems like I've missed that boat, I don't want to just jump in now because I missed it and I'm wondering if I should wait for a retrace or not?
I'm fairly new to investing and as I've mentioned I've rushed in to buying shares once or twice and paid the price. Just trying to figure out whats the best thing to do. I understand it's a BB board and some would say don't take advice from here but I just want to know what peoples thoughts are as this would help me formulate my decision. There may be some investors who are new like me but then others who've been investing for 20 odd years...
