But I think in the context of SD buying shares in GGP it is a moot point. But more the point is made as to SD (and others) position on buying shares in GGP today so to speak. One does wonder why the opportunity to do so in the last 60 days has not been taken. The price is right and at this juncture with the current state of play there is a window to do so ie no restrictions.

Seems to me that the final section is massively derisked and with less headwind.

I would like to think so too Mark and in all probability correct.

I agree red - they have had plenty of time to mull this one over and even if it is just a "statement of intent" and move forward as you say singing from the same sheet.

I have stated a few times that as we are now "past" the takeover comings and goings they have a duty to inform the good people of Telfer, NT holders and WA of their intentions one way or the other sooner than later and the 22nd would be perfect timing for this.

And before MH, dip et al start banging on about crunching numbers and making mining plans etc etc I get that and time will come for that. I know that; been there done that got the Tshirt bla bla

I would think so. As I have said on a few occasions, Newmont have a duty to inform the good folk of WA, NT holders and telfer what there are intentions are; sooner than later. They have had more than enough time to make a decision.
