Mongolia refinery needs 30,000 bopd to run at 100% capacity, right now Mongolia daily production is not enough to run the refinery at even 30% capacity, no doubt Mongolia will accept running the refinery at 30 to 40% capacity initially, but if they are to cut fuel imports they must get drilling and increase daily crude production by at least 300%.

Mongolia daily average crude oil production has been falling since 2015, we know the refinery needs 30,000 bopd to run at 100% capacity so Mongolia has got to get drilling between now and the refinery start up date, oil wells need drilled ASAP, MATAD more than happy to help in this, ob-viously that oil will go to China until the refinery is ready to accept it, fact is they need to start drill-ing ASAP, you cannot magic up producing oil wells, it takes time.

TAMSAG Basin is shared between PC and MATAD (Heron field), each have just over 200 sq/km. Since 1995 PC have drilled over 300 oil producing wells in their half of the TAMSAG basin, the ma-jority of PCs older wells are played out, MATAD have one producing well right now (H1), currently flowing at over 200 bbl/d but with inexpensive remedial work in spring expected to produce much more, H2 well likely to come on stream in spring bringing MATADs producing well upto 2 with many many more to follow.

When an E&P drills into a new field / formation and starts producing its always a learning curve, how will the oil flow, how will the reservoir react, what pressure will we get or do we need to lift the oil to surface with a beam pump, will there be sand, ifso what grain size, will it be abrasive sand or soft sand, be assured there is a known remedy for whatever these wells throw at us and with every well MATADs understanding of Heron will increase, happy days ahead for investors starting in a few short months.

In the case of H1 sand its good to hear MB say “sand screens offers a CHEAP SOLUTION to this and will be programmed for the spring IF the well continues to perform in this way. RNS 16th January”.

The sand could disappear as fast as it appeared.

H1, cheap, quick fix (MBs words "cheap solutuion") to our sand update, once the sand screen is fitted production rises to xxx who knows 500 / 800 plus barrels a day.

H2, disappointing initial 30 bbl/d during testing, marginal commercial during winter, no doubt due to fuel costs to keep it fluid for pumping, commercial in summer when the wellsite stored oil does not need heated, but MB prefers to suspend it for remedial work in spring, sure he can squeeze an extra 100 bbl/d out of it at the minimum, 130 bbl/d = commercial all year round.

Or, could be MB has added resolution 4 just to let whoever he is dealing with see he is serious about a raise if he does not get a better deal, stranger things have happened, simply do not know.

I have always believed MATAD has huge potential but now i see the money and effort being thrown against us in an attempt to subdue the sp i am starting to think MATAD and its potential may be even bigger than i thought.

Revised my post refinery price to 40p.

Mongolia’s Precarious Energy Security, they need the refinery and they need a lot more oil than they are currently producing to run it. MATAD happy to help, they need MATAD drilling as many wells as possible..

Agree, Someone has an agenda and is trying to keep the SP down, short term low but as i am here until post refinery not a problem, when i ask myself why this is happening i come up with someone / entity wants our oil big time, why, due to its potential, it really is massive.

Think Takeiteasy and Adw need to go shower, imagine they have peed themselves with excitement at seeing the sp 10% down, short lived joy i expect.
