I imagine every CEO of major civil engineering firms and Smelters in China will be lobbying the Chinese president to secure affordable, high quality ore supplies from Africa. It is not just supply threats, it is price as well, this is a major input cost.

One nice RNS could be rocket fuel for ZIOC. Six months ago, you could not have wished for things to have aligned on the supply side and politically, so perfectly, not that anyone would have wished for the underlying cause....

If China really wants this (They do IMO) forget 2-3 years, they could do it much much faster.

Given the current Geo situation, the slightest news that things are progressing and there is a bit more urgency in practice, this will fly very high indeed, bring it on.

The price to buy out/get a significant share will be rising by the day.

1/ Secure basic resources in friendly/dependant countries to keep economy running, as the western bèndàn cannot be trusted to maintain supplies.

2/ Do not enter into new contracts with current suppliers if we can produce our own from friendly countries, as it will Ta ma de tamen.

3/ Let me know cost, we have $3T sitting around.

They need Ore, and having a better, more economical supply, makes sense on every front. the Glencore/state debt deal was a precursor to a deal being done to the benefit of all players .

Australia, is also chipping in about China mishandling the Coronovirus, which they did initially, but no where near the extent the US/AUS is alleging (to detract from their own domestic failures), or even nowhere near how much the US/AUS has mishandled the pandemic, China is pretty much open again, how long before the US gets to the same point, with 100k's of deaths no doubt. Even here the Govt has not been clear on the number of deaths, yet accuse China of covering up the same!

As well as a long view, China also has a long memory, they will, more than ever, want to secure supplies that are not dependant on Western Governments.

There is a chance that DRC was blocking, or threatening to block, Glencore disposing of their share of the JV, so in effect all of the sale/whatever until they agreed to deal on the debt.

This might all be verbal stuff, the threat to nationalise or whatever, now that the debt deal is done, I think things may move (relatively) fast.

I would suspect, given the current situation, there will be less ISA buying than usual, and also Bed and ISA transactions are easy to spot.

Whatever the reason, confidence is returning to this share with China no longer on lock down.

China will need quality Iron Ore more than ever, due to the biggest economic stimulus in their history, and also, I suspect ,an acceleration of Belt and Road, as it will project their power, help other countries, and fuel economic activity in China to feed the massive infrastructure projects along belt and road. To do this they will need to move quickly to secure supplies, this virus may have shaved years off the timeframe to exploit the resource.

Factories getting back to work in China, no new cases, it may be chaos in the West, but they got it sorted.

Company dropping heavy hints re China...

It is coming, and given the state of companies in general in the West, if not an outright offer coming, then there could be a lot of interest in putting money in ZIOC, given the lack of other alternatives at the moment.

Cue, blast off, rocket analogies, fill your boots etc.

I said before, a few weeks ago, the biggest fiscal stimulus programme in history is coming, we can see that now.

China all but virus free, Europe will get it under control, USA not so sure about with their crazy health system and a madman in charge.

The way it will go IMO is that countries will get things under contol in deleloped economies (USA may be the outlier as above) and all that will happen is international travellers will get quarantined until a vaccine becomes available, but demand for steel/ore will mushroom under economic stimulus programmes.

We are already seeing Iron Ore futures looking very good...think on....

ZIOC is a very very attractive investment, at current prices it could be a once in a lifetime opportunity

With respect, no criticism, but for those of a nervous disposition, 'next update' is counterproductive. Got it, what you were saying, no critisism intended, however, I think the whole investment philosophy in ZIOC has to change, excepting traders, (I have no objection to traders unless thet are like the z guy who is a crook)


Think about it, what is happening in the world right now, yes there are going to be millions of deaths, maybe me who knows? some will have the needles inserted to dolls aready, but buy!!! what opportunity, anyone with any intelligence will see this as a major opportunity, in my opinion.
