Hi Robleo, not new as you say, bought first shares about 40 years ago but just a moderate investor ,no time to do much dealing like some.

Never bought a gilt though, I remember my granny had a small amount.

I was just curious as you hear about them now and again and also I have a fixed rate bond maturing next month but I probably have too much in building societies. I don't see many bargains either . I recently bought a small amount of Temple Bar IT for a change.

Robleo, do you ever buy UK gilts to get a fixed income or just stick to stock market based investments for a bit of growth as well hopefully ?

I'm not planning to sell any but have purchased some PHP today just to spread the risk and increase the income.

Thanks, most of mind are accumulation units but may change in a couple of years when I retirer.

Looking forward to Thurs. dividend from you know what , but what to do with it .

Robleo or anyone ,do you ever buy the income units for the income or just the accumulation ones ? I have some of the acc. ones.

Hi Speedy ,I did the same as you just to try Ah Bell, but so far I like Hl better .

Firstly when you open up hl you can see the ftse,other indices then gold price quite easily, then when logged on , when you click on your individual shares you get all their trades together. Etc.

So I haven't decided who is best yet.
