Bhants, this will be my very first cruise, it better be good !!! My other half wasn't keen on a cruise so I just booked it myself anyway . I chose Azura because it was a fly/cruise holiday as Southampton isn't handy. Only a year to go ,by that time the shares might be up a bit more.

Botbot, I think you have to buy/ own on Wednesday to get dividend.

On Thursday ,ex dividend day the share price will drop roughly by that amount, depending on market conditions.

So you could buy cheaper on Thursday.

That is very true from experience.

Is any insurance companies on the list ? Eg. Av. Has big dividend but share price disappoints, same as Lgen. I have both , ex dividend on Thursday.
