She should write an article on all the other tests the government are using and compare the manufacturer claims Vs real world data. I'm sure she will find lots of the current tests being used have pretty poor sensitivity and specificity yet have had contracts in the hundreds of millions. Throw in a bit about how the contracts were given out without proper procurement and then she will have a proper story. Could this be a retaliation after all the emails we sent to her regarding an apology after Deeks mess up?
The investors Q&A update from today said "Omega is already currently selling modest volumes of its Covid tests"
The word modest is open to interpretation.
The only thing I can think of is that there may be a strict allocation of how many tests each seller/supplier gets. If you sell all of your allocation then you have to wait until the next round/batch/reallocation date for more stock.
Agreed. I had one done a while back and it was a lab based blood test with a 24-48 hour turnaround time. Sample went directly to the NHS lab for testing. Not sure of the sensitivities or specificities or who the test is by. Believe it is reserved for NHS staff only? Either way the result made no difference as I still protect myself and others by wearing masks / social distancing etc
@merchantbanker.
Thank you for your valued input since I've been invested in ODX. It has helped me gain much knowledge.
It makes sense what you say however its all well and good increasing capacity and expecting demand (also CK in the Q&A in the RNS said similar ie "Beyond December, dependent upon the decision to be taken at that time, we may further increase capacity to 2 million tests per week by the end of April 2021")
It's a difficult situation to be in that they are assuming and expecting sales and not had much fruition as of yet. Investors would be much happier knowing they have had X amount of sales vs speculation
Just to be clear I'm not taking it out on you. Just having a mini vent.
@pawnking1
Don't get your hopes up. I've already contacted them 2 months ago. I got a reply around 2 weeks later saying they can't give information. My follow up reply to them was nearly a month ago and they haven't responded back.
@RegulatorUK
Great minds!
That would be funny if we did. Not sure where the best place is to discuss it (without giving too much away in an open forum) however I'm based in London.

5) If the gov does not want further tests then CK did say that they had lots of world wide interest in the antibody test as the UK Gov bought some. This will open many doors. I remember reading the contract between Abington and the gov and it said that they will order 1 million tests pending MHRA home approval and if they get it they will order more. If we don’t get MHRA for home use, that’s still okay. It is still CE marked for professional use and there is a market for it. ODX just need to be more transparent with investors to say how they will be tackling it an how much profit they will get for non gov orders.
Either way this stock is at least a 6-12 month hold to reap the full benefits

Information for the derampers and those that may not know how healthcare works.
Disclaimer: I own ODX shares and work in healthcare NHS and private.
1) ODX antibody test is advanced for what is currently needed by the world. They are way ahead of the game and when the world realises about its benefit then ODX will hit the ground running as they will have all the approvals and capacity ready. This weirdly reminds me of Japan many years ago where technologically they were so advanced no one would buy their electronic products as they weren’t ready for it and didn’t know how it would fit in to their current life. Sorry I digress.
2) Vaccine. Brace yourself. Vaccines take a decade to get to the market from research, testing and manufacturing. Such testing would have safety data and regular checking of antibodies in the blood during this timescale so we would have an idea of how long immunity lasts or if a booster is needed later on. Covid vaccine is great however this being within one year of creation and it’s a RNA vaccine (never been done). There will be data on the randomised controlled studies but real world evidence (ie post marketing studies) will be ongoing very rigorously. Antibody testing will be ongoing at set stages to see how long they will be present in the system. Think of it as even if the vaccine is on the market, there will be lots of monitoring, lots of data being produced because currently we don’t know about heterogeneity ie does it work better in certain populations vs others. Drugs/vaccines in the market are essentially an ongoing global study.
3) With limited vaccines doses, I would be surprised if they didn’t check for antibodies first. Why waste it on someone that is already protected when it can be used in someone else? This is a scare resource so it needs to be used appropriately. Aside from the -70 degrees storage needed to store the vaccines.
4) The aim of the gov is to open up the economy. The limited number of vaccines will go to those that are very high risk/care homes and the NHS. Not to sound rude but this does not encapsulate the young, fit and healthier population that are needed to kick start the economy, open up the restaurants, airline travel, etc. You will have the antigen test to see if you have the virus but then the antibody testing, like Sir Bell was mentioning, to give a “get out of jail free card” for 3 months before you are retested will help the economy recover. Yes it will likely cause a 2 tier system ie immune or not and am not sure how they will create an immunity passport or a certificate you carry around with a QR code or the NHS covid app.
@sneakysimon
Where did you find the sensitivity of 98.6% for the antigen test? I've been trying to search for this data with little luck.
@spurs you make me laugh.
Laugh at you not with you of course.
You make 100 percent calls right? In that case we must have had at least 20+ MHRA approvals. Oh wait...
You better stop posting and making a bigger fool out of yourself than you already are.

Every time CK talks the SP tanks. He's done 2 talks within the past few weeks. Hope this will answer the vital questions we have all been talking about on this board. Fingers crossed the SP doesn't take another battering. Not sure how much more of it I can take!
@genericname
Boris says lots of things and then does something else. I would be glad to hear Mologic to be a part of the 6 named. However material transfer hasn't happened with ODX yet and they can't currently produce them at the numbers required. For now I'm sure ODX will have missed the boat on this one despite their best efforts.
@dodge100 I couldn't find any rock solid evidence of this. However apparently Mologic antigen test is at a stage where it is being tested (Heathrow too) and I believe CK mentioned in his recent video that it was being trialled in the drive through track and trace. Still searching to see the trial results of the antigen test.
I hope you're right.
With my skeptical hat on I believe ODX might miss the boat with the gov with other products that can supply in bigger volumes with worse sensitivity and specificity. Might even be too late for international sales +/- FDA approval. Let's hope they learn from the ELISA mistakes and work quicker
Appears they don't care about the quality of the tests just the fact that its a test. Interesting how UK businesses need to jump through so many hoops to get a test on the market and if you selling a test from abroad, you can waltz in and sell no questions asked.
I remember CK saying in his presentation there were lots of interest outside the UK Gov / internationally. Great for the company as its more profits especially as it has been stamped with approval from the UK Gov.
Best to stay away from the shambles this government keeps getting itself into.
I would have thought it would have been home testing for the antibody testing as this needs MHRA approval. I don't believe they were looking for MHRA approval for the antigen test. Either way it could fit in well with the NHS Covid app which had an antibody picture testing element to it.
Bid for home testing for Covid 19.

Sorry phone posted before the full message. Something doesn't seem right. Today and yesterday over a million pounds worth of late trades showing yet the SP drops. Just not sitting right
